I`d like to hear opinions on whether its more profitable to melt or sell the run-of-the-mill loot that clogs up our hangars. I`m talking stuff in the sub-arbalest\gauss\neut\ range of modules.
Er, thats it.

that depends on your skills and/relations since you mention neither ill guess you put the same effort into building them as you did researching your question - selling would be better for you.

Reprocess, as buy orders for most T1 stuff are approx 20% under mineral costs usually and thus you get more isk reprocessing. Even at non perfect levels.

heh heh- i deserved that. my refining skills are maxxed, and my standings with are 8.6, so they take nothing.

At that return you should be able to refine all the non named plus the sporadic loot and make more. The named and in some cases odd drops you will have to track - there can be a surprising profit in modules not normally dropped in the area and an opportunity to fill a niche when you find them.
If your making items from the minerals it's a bit different than if your selling the minerals (even though you'll have fees for each the volume/isks need to be tracked and compared).
If your selling the minerals it may be worth your while to find an industrial corp to contract lots to to reduce your administrative and cost of doing business costs.
