Edited by: Trin Dainos on 07/06/2008 10:32:21 This issue has come up to some degree in past threads, but still no definate answer has been found. My game (on premium) freezes for between 5-10 seconds every time I do one of the following: =Warp to a stargate (2 freezes) =Perform an action in the overview =Open a new window =Select an option with right-click
These are just the few I can think of at the moment, virtually all actions (including battle) results in freezing. My pc specs are: Nvidia 8800gts Intel Q6600 2gb ram
Why should this be an issue while only running 1 client at not even full graphics settings... And I notice how my CPU usage drops to zero every time a freeze occurs, anyone know what this could mean?

I had the same problem a few days ago.In my case it turned out to be bad sectors on my HDD.
Try copying you eve files form documents and settings/ user /aplication data/ ccp.If they fail to copy your cache files are corrupted.
(Cache files can get corrupted without having bad sectors as well)
If all seems fine delete the cache anyway (Always make a backup of this folder before fidling with it or you might regret it)

I had some problems like this a few days back - it was really frustrating. I ended up flattening EVE and reinstalling it (including deleting the cache and user files) and it's working fine for now, though I'm keeping the install files handy. It's a little annoying because I lost all my settings, but it's better to have to set that all again than having an unplayable EVE.
I've heard from other people it also occurs when your cache files get too large - I tried using eve-tool to remove mine, but it didn't seem to do any good.
