Not the best fitting in the world but I just use it as support in gangs for damage.
5 x Heavy Modulated Pulse (Amarr Navy Multifreq.)
10MN Afterburner II Warp Disruptor II Cap Injector II
4 x Heat Sink II DCU II N-Type Thermal Hardener MAR II
(Swap t1, t2, and faction where desired. This is all I could fit due to CPU and powergrid limitations, however)

Well, thanks for the compliment, you may one day see the light.
And I like this fitting much beter!
I have never used the polycarb rigs, the Zealot dosn't need any Cap rigs to make it stable now?

i was testing out this ...
5x HPL T2 / scorch + conflag
10mn mwdt2 (or faction) LSE t2 web
3-4x faction HS (t2 if you're poor) 3 OD t2 0-1 nano t2
and poly rigs ... since they introduced the 5th turret fitting armor tank is quite impossible :( |

I can think of a better setup...zealot with civilian guns !!! isnt it wonderful, at least someone is going to lough at your setup !
TBH there are 2 ways of fitting a zealot: nano or not nano.
Nano
5 heavy pulses or heavy beams 3 damage mods, 3 overdrives, 1 PDU mwd, LSE and warp disruptor or sensor booster (depends if you have tacklers) rigs: if you are reach polycarbons, poor agility rigs
Not nano
800mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Medium Armor Repairer II Armor Thermic Hardener II Internal Force Field Array I True Sansha Adaptive Nano Plating Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800 or swap it for stasis web, then you can fit bigger guns Warp Disruptor II
2 x Heavy Pulse , 3 x Focused Pulse Laser II - if you are tough and you have a good gang, then you can swap med repper for bigger guns
I hate whiners, nerf this, nerf that. This way one day all of us we will be flying ibis-es of doom

TBH, the not-nano way to fit a Zealot is called a Harbinger. (With pulses at least; obviously the sniper Zealot is very viable and doesn't count as nano) |

Nano with no cap problems:
[Zealot, Nano] Medium Armor Repairer II Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Overdrive Injector System II Tracking Enhancer II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Capacitor Power Relay II
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Warp Disruptor II Large Capacitor Battery II
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Focused Medium Pulse Laser II, Scorch M
Polycarbon Engine Housing I Polycarbon Engine Housing I
You can even turn the repper on from time to time in combat. The cap is stable with guns, mwd and disruptor. You can tweak some lows for personal preferences but this is the ship I fly and it works very good. ________________________________________

I've been trying this out.
[Zealot, Zealot - 800] Medium Armor Repairer II Damage Control II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Khanid Navy Adaptive Nano Plating 800mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Stasis Webifier II Warp Disruptor II
Heavy Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Heavy Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M
Trimark Armor Pump I Anti-Thermic Pump I
1.5 CPU left and it needs advanced weapon upgrades 5 there's 0 grid left, you could probably also use fitting implants though.
Reason for named guns is above, I find they work better than focused medium pulse II unless I need to use scorch
6.2k armor resists are 73.6 / 73.1 / 80.2 / 89.4 (Comp skills at 4).
Yes it's not very cap stable, so you need to micro manage the mods. ---------

Absolutely agree with you, that if you plate a zealot, then binger is better, but thats still an option I hate whiners, nerf this, nerf that. This way one day all of us we will be flying ibis-es of doom

No hs and focused mediums? Why not use an Omen with heatsinks and Heavy pulse then and if you lose it you lose it :| |

Edited by: Templar Dane on 12/06/2008 11:03:08 I prefer a plated setup. Harbinger is fun, but I haven't had any luck with them.
Heat Sink II Heat Sink II 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Adaptive Nano Plating II N-Type Thermic Hardener I
10MN MicroWarpdrive II Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I Fleeting Warp Scrambler I
Focused Medium Pulse Laser II Focused Medium Pulse Laser II Focused Medium Pulse Laser II Focused Medium Pulse Laser II Focused Medium Pulse Laser II
Fits without implants.
Edit. Thought I might add some reasons.
I fly this over the harbinger because of the innate resists, the fact that a range bonus on lasers is HUGE, and its faster and more maneuverable(because I plate my harbingers too). I know it's barely cap stable with just the guns/tackle/hardener running. Mwd is only for getting in range, and the repper is for repping between fights. Overall, I prefer a plated setup because it gives you more time when the **** hits the fan.
