Get it here and be part of Download Day if you download it within 24 hours.
The site www.spreadfirefox.com is currently not responding. Guess its too much pressure. But the above link works.

Edited by: Kyrall on 17/06/2008 22:18:36 Thanks, I almost forgot.
And to all you naysayers, yes okay, it's just a browser, but you must admit that it's much better than MSIE, and would it hurt so much to just download it and maybe suggest someone else does, as a thank you to those that make it? - Originally by: Kyrall Pfft antivirus? Just downloaded it, and it's working fine for me. Possibly a bit slow on start-up, but seems to work fine once running. I had been having a few problems with it before now, and they seem to be fixed. They were a bit weird, couldn't find any info on them. Probably just due to conflicts with extensions or something like that, but I didn't want to get rid of any of the ones I used! Hopefully the fact that many of the features I got with extensions are now built in will mean that it stays fixed! - Originally by: Kyrall Pfft antivirus? Real men use a hard drive tank.

I'v always woundered what it is exactly that makes someones life so uninteresting that they get excited about a browser release......
I'm honestly puzzled....

This concept confuses and enrages me.
The aim of politics is to keep the populace alarmed and clamorous to be saved by menacing it with imaginary hobgoblins. The urge to save humanity is a false front for the urge to rule it. |

It's mostly improved performance and the new bookmark management system.
We, the geeky people, get excited about silly things.

I've always wondered what it is exactly that makes someone's life so uninteresting that they get excited about a new car model release/television series/graphics card/etc etc etc
People find things to get excited about. Firefox 3 has a lot of improvements under the hood and, perhaps most importantly, is probably in a position to challenge Microsoft more effectively than it has in the past. This is exciting to some people, boring as paint drying to others. Much in the same way that I couldn't give a toss about the olympics but others are jumping up and down and planning their social schedule around when it'll be live on television.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I found the new auto-complete drop down feature (on the url bar) MUCH too bloated and useless. Most of the time when I head to this site, I just type in "e" or "eve" and tap down a few times to "www.eve-online.com." With the new feature I had to examine a whole mishmash of bolded text, large fonts, and useless information to find the same url.
I downloaded an add-on to get rid of that feature and revert back to the original from firefox 2. Phew.
Also, I've found in the past that firefox used to occasionally gum up the dev blog page. Now recently it's permanently so; the only thing I see there is the latest dev blog and a message like "The requested data is not available" in the news feed box. Works fine in IE7, as far as I know. Any ideas?

No it didnt for me... and I downloaded the version 3.0 myself from that page just before posting.
Not sure what the reason is that you saw 2.0.0.14, but I can promise you I got version 3 from that page since Im currently running it...
Interesting.
