Want to see how far this goes....
1) The chances of running into a gate camp which has a hictor/dictor--i.e. a ship that can drop a bubble on you-- in it are directly proportional to the number and cost of implants you have plugged in. You will always be able to safely avoid the destruction of a cheap pod clone.
2) That single "scout" frigate that just made it away before you could scramble him will be a lone traveler. The single battleship you triumphantly scramble will be an actual scout for a 40 ship fleet about to jump in.

An Enemy gang will always jump in the system you are ratting in while you're skimming the forums for flavour.
That single scout frigate you just aggressed on the gate really IS a scout.
After 20 jumps of being careful the first time you warp gate to gate you land in a bubble.

6. Just as the battle appears won, and the enemy leaves the field, they begin arriving again as if the fleet you just blew up never existed.

You will always catch targets you can't possibly solo at the 0.0 entrance choke point the moment the rest of your fleet leaves system.

8. When being station camped, by the time you have amassed enough forces to engage the campers, enough of them will have left in boredom that they will dock as soon as any of your reinforcements pop up in local. If you camp them, they will bring in twice as many reinforcements and outblob you, forcing you to dock again.
It's a viscious cycle, really...

You don't fit ECCM, the other side uses ECM,
You fit ECCM and waste slots because the other side isn't using ECM,
Whetever you fit for solo work will not meet ships of the same class, only better/bigger ones.

When your fleet is strong on battleships the enemy will be flying nano-ships.
When your fleet is heavy on the anti-nano, the enemy will be in battleships.

Insurance is the best defence you can buy, only uninsured ships get popped.
