I seem to be having a weird issue, and I'm not sure if it is known, a bug, or something that just got broken.
I am currently the CEO of my corp, and I just bought 100 or so bpos. I did a manu job wihtout any materials, so that it would be used, and proceeded to lock each one down, in 5 different hangers. (The hangers are split up for each type of BPO)
So, I get a 100 or so emails says that I'm locking them down, blah blah. Well I go into politics, and vote on each one to 1. Lock down the BPO.
After about 30 or so minutes, all the BPO's are unlocked, and I can go through and relock them again, and the cycle continues. I am curious if this is broken, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.

This problem happens to me usually when I forgot to cast a vote in the lockdown process. After that the BPO always gets unlocked, no matter if I correctly cast the following votes.
The reply to my petition was the following:
Quote: Sadly, we do not have the tools to lock down blueprints. I recommend waiting a few days for sanctioned effect to wear off and trying again, this time in smaller votes (10 or less), and maybe in a different hangar.
That usually works, though I had cases in wich that didnt work. In such a case, try changing the stats, (give it a level ME/PE), then try again. If not even that works for you, the GMs can trash the BPO and give you a new one with the same specifications, like they did once for me.
Good luck

Thank you. Good information to know then. I was considering unrenting the office and reopening it to see if that would fix it too. At the moment it isn't a big security risk, but in the future it will, and I'd hate to have 800 bpo's all in one hanger, seems like a waste of hanger space to me. :)

Well i tried the unrent idea of mine, and that failed. Guess I will have to petition the GM's to get it fixed. It just stinks, I hope this problem gets fixed soon. Hate to have to keep bothering them everytime we buy bpos. |

Well Joan, I tried your idea with doing research on the bpo's to see if that would help. Sadly, it did not. I researched 9 bpo's to 1 me, and then tried to lock just those 9 down, and after 40 minutes they popped back to unlocked. I seriously think the bpo's are bugged or the lockdown system is broken. :(

Wow, looks like you have really bad luck. I guess bug report and petition is in place then. Sorry it didnt work for you.
EDIT: please keep me updated. I have the feeling it can hit me as hard as you some day.

aha the old lock unlock bug.
I've had this in the past - lock a BPO and it refuses to stay locked sometimes it unlocks within a min or sometimes a few hours - if it makes it past a DT then it usually stays locked.
this is the one time where a logserver BR is of no use IIRC.
anyhoo a petition will help

I had this happen to one BPO that I used after making the lockdown vote before it had been actioned. When it returned to my hangar no amount of further votes would keep it locked down. GM suggested moving the BPO to my personal hangar and then back again and that worked for my particularly situation (with a single BPO).
