The reason why so many people group together though is probably the fact that they are playing to enjoy themselves, and doin it with others, be it in blobs is good fun to alot. Also, alot of people are probably put off going solo due to the fact that they have to very carefully pick their fights cos' of others working together. I solo mainly in my stealth bomber and although it can be a long wait for a kill it sure is fun when you get it.

It's a nice tactic for being able to pick your fights, avoid camps and probe people down while roaming, but it's nowhere near as risky as genuinely flying solo in a big ship. Edit to clarify: I'm talking about people who claim to solo in battlecruisers, battleships and similar. I know nanoship pilots solo lots, but they can easily escape if things go bad. I hate signatures with no distinct break from the body of the post.

In 0.0 i'm sure it's less frequent but still not dead, although i suppose you can only solo there in relative safety with an inty, nanohac or some kind of stealth ships (SB, recon etc.).

But quit eve-online after making 10bill and killing the blobs untill they wouldn't even try to kill me , so the game lost point. p.s best way to get a solo fight, create corp of one, war dec some corp pvp/or not and kill or jsut pee off the mission runners. Works a charm as long as theres just one in your corp. KILLING MACROS UNTIL MY WALLET RUNS OUT

Gneeznow Minmatar North Eastern Swat Pandemic Legion	Posted - 2008.07.23 00:44:00 - [46] I solo most of the time but I've lost over 200 ships which is the price you pay for it, still the most fun you can have in game tho I think, running in a fleet you'll rack up more kills but none will compare to a well earned and well fought solo kill, If your successful at it you also get 100% of the loot which if your lucky can fund some replacement ships, favorite solo'ing ships are prolly arbitrator, stabber, claymore, cyclone and prophecy. (mostly coz they are cheap)
