06/13/2008 Service Charge or Fee INTERNATIONAL SERVICE FEE Cleared $-3.94
I looked back through my records and it seems they are charging international service fees this year. Last year I did not have any of these Extra fees added.

This isn't CCP, this is your bank. Take it up with them. Many banks charge an international "fee", especially some credit cards. There's been a few class action lawsuits over this as well. Again, that's your bank, for the pleasure of processing a card transaction from iceland. Not CCP, your bank. -- this is my sig. |

Generally that little gift is from the credit card company.
It is a little love note saying that the currency that CCP bills and you're paying with differs.

Edited by: Jinx Barker on 01/07/2008 02:09:20 Talk to your Bank. CCP has nothing to do with it.
American Banks in particular started charging people to make up for the losses they are suffering in the credit crunch. Some fees can go as far as 5% of the purchase price - check with your bank.
Bank of America recently lost a class action law suit because they have not disclosed the charges to their customers during 2000-2006 years, and incorporated them into a "purchase" price that would appear on the statement. I got back over 1,000 Dollars plus penalty fees from that. Since I lived in UK from 2000 to 2006.
Anyway, check with your bank, most likely they are the ones ripping you off. Bank Of America currently charges 3% foreign transaction fee. Capital One charges 3% - 6% foreign transaction fee depending on your credit rating. American Express - Depends, if you have good credit with them, they do not charge the fees.
Edit:

They probably did, they just did not tell you and incorporated the "fee" into the "purchase price."
