Until the recent patch update I have been playing the game with ease, its fun and interesting. I used to do missions all the time but ever since the recent patch update whenever I shoot somthing on a mission my PC restarts....Blue screen somtimes but restarts none the less.
XP pro 1GB RAM Nvidea 9750GT AMD 4200x2 Onboard sound drivers
I have played the game before in the 14 day trial and have only received this error AFTER the tuesday patch. My friend's pc works fine with eve and missions, it seems only my PC crashes.
I stopped the current mission and chose another one from my agent and this new mission has the same issue, whenever I lock and activate my artillery the computer freezes shortly and restarts.
little help?

Ok, until now it was just missioning, but I warped to the station from my mission and then it crashed as it finished warp, like when I shoot but this time I didn't shoot. This is the first occurance and before it only happened when I shot somthing.

Edited by: Boozbaz on 04/07/2008 09:39:46 I'm having the exact same problem. I turned off the sound in the game and so far that has dampened the issue. I'm not sure if that's a permanent fix (hopefully not I DO eventually want sound)
Also when it crashes, maybe it's just my computer but ya never know...it makes this weird BZZZRRRDDD sound. Then crashes.

Whats does is say on the BSOD? Try without sound like the previous poster to see if it makes a difference.

Realtek onboard sound would do it.

If it's Realtek AND Audigy then I'm SOL, since I have both. I've been playing with no sound for a few days and so far so good. If it keeps up like this, I'm going to buy a new audio card and give the sound another try. Any suggestions on compatible audio cards?

well crashing could be many problems. it could be the graphics card whether you are running on premium or classic and if its premium then you can lower the bloom and other setting son it to make the FPS faster cuz thats what makes it crash most likely is the FPS but otherwise yea the sound card could have done it i suggest just a sound driver rather than a card ive had problems with them myself.

not to mention you should get more RAM cuz 1g is the Rec for classic and min for premium so 2g of RAM could fix the problem
