Indeed muchly so,
I await with eager anticipation the announcement of our councils wise actions in the manner of making sure that ALL the Caldari people, particularly those who risk profit, will be able to share in the wealth our assured victory shall bring
I'm sure the council shall be most wise and shrewd in their forthcoming of this information. --------------------------------------------- I'm the root of all thats evil yeah, but you can call me Cooki3

Edited by: OFFT on 28/05/2004 21:43:02 Well met****er Caldari Xel'Naga Corp
However others do not see the sense in the progression of the Caldari Race.------------------------------------------------------------- Hadean has seen fit after posting a long poll to see which race it would favor with its body parts, has turned 180 degrees and changed its mind. see below:
After much anticipation the Hadean Drive Yards have announced that they will abstain from the collection and distribution of the Jovian material.
Rumors abound the powers that be are wanting to hand out a blueprint copy of cloaking technology to the single Corporation which meets their 1000 unit quota and the Executives and members of the Drive Yards feel this is less than par.
In a statement today, the CEO was quoted as saying "Why should we contribute to the technological advance of a potential competitor, or an outright enemy. The parts aren't really worth selling individually at 20,000isk each and 1000 units are only worth 20,000,000. We can rest assured that we would not receive any of the cloaking technology should we contribute. Overall I think this was a poorly thought out scheme by an as of yet unknown entity who clearly did not give it much thought!"
After stating the above Mr. Carter turned on his heel and walked back into the Drive Yards headquarters, flanked by members of the Executive Branch.

Having mobilised the support of our good citizens and demonstrated to all of EvE that we are more than capable of raising support for our cause in their vote, their decision to not particpate demands a further explanation.
I urge the Hadean Drive Yards not to abstain from this, and to honour the result of their plebesite!!

Whilst the scheme is not considered a "well-thought-out" by a large number of people we do still have a chance that doesnt come by often.....
The Jovian space has been closed to us and having been less than well positioned in the demise of a Jovian we would not do any less than GAIN from a standing re-positioning.
I think it unfortunate that the Jovian planners muddied the waters with plans that mean "Individual gain".
I gave my parts in the time when a racial gain was on the cards...whilst I would like a material gain to myself I will rise above this matter...I will not sacrifice the Racial gain for profit.
Surely even the most avaricious Caldari can see that Short Term gains are not the way.
Long term growth is the surest way to long term profits and growth.
Other Caldari Corps might do well to think on this matter.
Rumors of "Cloaking" Tech will I hope be like the rumours of Jumpdrives....Wrong.....
I think the Jovians may be playing with us in this matter... The have for years manipulated events for "social experiment". I dont think they are "wrong" in this , they view life in a different way...they play games and have schemes to learn from them ....

I had some concerns recently, regarding this collection council's handling of the cloaking technology blueprint copies which are to be awarded to those who participate in this event. I'd like to discuss these and get some answers before continuing any donations to the council.
On the http://www.caldari.tk website, it is stated that:
Quote: The council has come to an agreement that the BPc's will be auctioned off after the event. All money made from this and any left over from donation fund, will be evenly distributed back between contributers. The auction will most likely be open to Caldari only (exceptions may include other races that strongly help the state and want to be part of it) Regarding ISK donations, X amount will be equal to one part. That amount is let to be set. We have choosen this as we feel it is the fairest and most rewarding way for everyone that helped.
Now, I've been a fairly substantial donator for a single individual - I've contributed around 74 epidermis slivers and a few liver samples, and there is no doubt in my mind that I could acquire a thousand epidermis fragments by myself before this event's end; now I find out that the council intends to auction off the rewards they get from my contributions? Why then should I, someone who cannot compete with the buying power of a major alliance in an auction, donate or sell my Jovian items to this council if I will have no chance of seeing an actual reward from it? I am frankly not interested in the welfare of the Caldari state or working toward the greater good - merely securing cloaking technology for myself. I am not interested in breaking my ass just so some alliance can buy up what I seek.
I feel that there should be some form of reward set aside for individuals who excel at acquiring and donating these items - perhaps one of the BPCs should be used to build a few cloaking devices and distribute them to those prominent procurers. If this is not done, I believe I will refund any money received for these items and request that the Jove items be returned, choosing instead to gather them for my own ends.

Those are just rumours, infact i have it from a reliable source that its more likely the highest donators will get cloaking related rewards, as in skill books.
Quote: Now, I've been a fairly substantial donator for a single individual - I've contributed around 74 epidermis slivers and a few liver samples,
Thats not a substantial amount, thats merely a few hours of hunting Blood Raiders. There's loyal citizens who have collected many times what you'll got. And are not complaining.

Edited by: Sammira on 01/06/2004 03:03:06 Well citizen pilots, if you can gain as many parts as you say and the SCC are going to distribute to all who deliver to the commisioners, why not collect everything and donate all except the epidermal sliver to the ETC. If you think you can get enough Epidermis to sell to the Caldari commisoner, then go ahead and keep it and make your money and get the chance at the cloacking technology BPc. That way, you benifit and the State benefits due to the rarity of the Liver and the better chance the ETC has of completing those sale orders.
However, it may be that the cloaking Technology BPc's only go to the largest contributors in each empire. If thats the case, the best chance of getting them would go to the ETC. While I personally think that I would love to have the ability to cloak my ships by gaining this technology through a lottery (but then, I do tend to bet alot on gravball), I feel that considering the number of individuals involved in collecting an auction might be best. Perhaps a firm descion should be left until AFTER we know how many runs are on the BPc and how they will be destributed to groups/individuals. Perhaps if enough BPc's are generated, we can have a lottery AND a sale, with the majority of BPc runs being lotteried off and one BPc being auctioned! That would indeed be the best idea, bringing profit to everyone and the modules and their associated wealth to the lucky ones!.
I for one would ask the ETC council to contact the CEP and find out exactly how the blueprints will be distributed to those who complete sell orders so that proper business rewarding techniques can be put in place.

The Caldari Council are concentrating their efforts on collecting the parts and not the distribution of the hyperthetical rewards. Once we win and the we KNOW what the rewards are we will undertake to discuss with the donators the best course of dispersal.
We will distribute the rewards proportionally based on the level of support each individual has given. There is no favouritism, or back handers. The process will be fair and transparent and will benefit all participates as well as the entire Caldari race.
Thanyou to all of the Citizens who have shown us a great deal of trust, and put a immense effort into this historical collaboration.

Time is not our friend.
We have not unlimited timescales in this matter.
Please ensure that any donations that you wish to make are done so swiftyly. I personally , as I have said before, cannot offer a multitude of richness and rewards.
But by giving parts or isk you may help secure a victory for the Caldari Cause.
Imagine the scene : The post-Jovian reward parade. No matter what the reward is....
See the ships glide by ....Caldari ships in formation, many glorious vessels with one moment to share. A victory in trade and collaboration, one to mark in history with a parade of might like no other.
I see holo-reels made , military music piped over the graceful ships that cloud the sky......
I see all this ....how through faith in the Caldari people. I know we have this within us.
More importantly YOU KNOW IT.
Dont think what might have been , think about all it can be !

Citizens, the ETC and the Jovian fragment collection are reaching a head. Time is running out before the Commisioners buy back the parts of the Directorates Liason and we must ensure that the Caldari claim the return of most pieces of his biomass.
Remember citizens, we must continue to gather parts of Misu Bainya to the ETC and ensure that all Caldari corporations sell their epidermal fragments to the Caldari State Commisioner. To date the ETC has more than 6 epidermal orders filled and one liver bile order. We need to ensure more Caldari orders are filled.
To donate or sell to the ETC, gain more information on the ETC or simply to talk more about the Caldari State and her corporations and anything pertaining to Caldari dominance, please tune into comm frequency "Caldari State Citizens" and view www.caldari.tk.

I would ask the Council to update the community if there is anything of note to be said after the trading event.
Of course they will provide feedback but I ask to make sure that people know this forum is still active.
Should a new post be required / or has been instigated then please provide a link.
I know we may have to wait on the authorities for any real movement but I have found this event such a intriguing spectacle........

I sincerely thank all those who devoted their time to help advance our cause. The Jovians have helped our economy and it is only just that we help them in their time of need as much as we can. 23.6.2004 Jovians to honor collection participants
Gyt Quisog, the Jovian official supervising the collection of the body parts of Misu Baniya, announced during a session in the Inner Circle of CONCORD yesterday that enough body parts had been collected for a reconstruction of the unfortunate liaison to be viable. Quisog again thanked all those involved in making this possible; the empires for organizing the collection and pilots everywhere for their enthusiastic contribution.
Now that the reconstruction effort is underway, the Jovians feel it's time to own up to their end of the bargain, with the gift of blueprint copies. These are blueprints for an advanced cloaking device not yet available to the general public and will undoubtedly come in handy for the recipients and their friends. Quisog promised that those pilots due a blueprint will receive their gift in the next 24 hours or so.
The announcement met with great approval and satisfaction from the assembled CONCORD members, who were greatly impressed by the cooperation and camaraderie shown by the participants during the collection. Many expressed their hope that this was just the first instance of many where pilots from all the races and all the factions could come and work together for the benefit of the whole of mankind.
This will of course fire questions to the Council as to the methods that will be used to "reward" those that donated isk and parts to the cause.
Maybe the Council can comment.
Thanks is anticipation.

Hail Caldari!
To Confirm some of the questions and comments the ETC have heard.
All CALDARI Donators will be entered into the BPC Draw.
The more an individual donated the more tickets he/she will get giving him/her a higher chance of being one of the BPC recipients.
11 batches were handed in by The ETC, however only 7 of them are were donated batches. The other 4 were raised by private consortiums to prevent other races getting the parts, and as such the consortiums get there batch rewards.
so the rewards the ETC will distribute are:-
7 bpcs(x20 runs) = 140 Cloaking Mods 140 Cloaking Skills 7 x Batch byback isk(20m) 140m isk
We are doing the final calculations now, but at this stage it would appear that close to 220 different individuals donated either isk, body parts or both to the Caldari Effort.
simple calculations mean that 140 ppl will recieve a mod and a skill, 80 ppl wont.
The 80 ppl who do not recieve a mod and a skill will have the 140m isk divided between them.
The website at www.caldari.tk will show the amount of tickets each individual or corp will recieve and include the ticket numbers.
We will also display a list of what every contributor gets, ie mod or isk.
If you win a Cloaking bpc you will be required to bring the relevant amount of minerals to PIAK to me, or if im not on, ESCROW to me at Piak P3 m19 navy. I will then arrange for your module to be built.
This is because we cannot split the bpcs.
If you wish to transfer your winning ticket for a module to another person that is fine, however the person who buys it will NOT be able to collect it without an evemail to me or XRAK from the original winner confirming the ticket is now owned by x person.
This is to obviousley stop scammers, not us making your lifes difficult.
I (ManicMiner) am withdrawing all of my tickets from the both the bpc draw and isk distribution as if i won a cloak bpc i would no doubt be inundated with scammer accusations.
The ETC has not "just" decided to distribute these bpcs and isk to the donators. Our plans to distribute any rewards have all ways been stated from the outset and as such we are just honouring our word and the great amount of trust put into us by the a huge amount of Caldaris Loyal to the State.
The distribution method is the fairest we(the council) could come up with and have listened to the ideas and thoughts of many people on the subject. I hope "win" a BPC or not, you will all be happy with the outcome, especially as the caldaris are the only race to be distributing there batch rewards amongst the donators.
Dont forget, we won the Jove Favour, we beat the other races, and now have the chance of winning a BPC.
/Me raises a glass of Starsi and toasts to an Efficient Drawing and Distribution.

Not bad, however I did single-handedly collect 114 pieces of Misu Baniya. One from my hangar, and 113 from the wretched Blood Raiders.
These were added to a larger sum from Oracle and gifted to the PRM contribution.
I accept no isk for my efforts, and consider the underlying commercialisation surrounding the misfortune of our Jovian cousin to be lacking both dignity and respect.
