when i have completed a mission, i select the contract icon, then select the mission and start conversation with the mission giver so i can set his location as my next destination.
Is this the right way or am i missing a much shorter way of doing this
thanks |

You should have a bookmark in your people and places for the giver of a mission 9iirc) FuzzWork Enterprises http://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/ Blueprint calculator and other 'useful' utilities. |

Or right click in space. There is the mission agents location there. |

afaik that only works if you are in the same system as the agent, the people and places thing is probably the quickest. If you rapid fire mission you could double click the agent mission section of your bookmarks and it should open into a new window which you can use to set destination. Just keep this windows open all day as you mission so you can use it for easily getting to the mission and back to the agent.
This also lets you circumvent the context menu in space and let you get access to the bookmarks directly :P The Drake is a Lie |

I tend to set the return to the agent from my assets window, as I always have something sitting at the station I'm running missions from.

This, or as I run all my missions from 1 or 2 location only I just know where to go, mainly cause most missions only let you fly an 'x' amount of systems to do stuff, so I tend to remember which systems I should go through (also a sign if you play too much EVE, if you remember a lot of the main routes you fly and which system is located where in space) Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. When accepting mission, if you know you will come back after mission you can add mission location as waypoing 1, and then agent location as waypoint 2.

That's one of the ways to do it. When I'm running missions I'll keep the mission window open but shaded (doubleclick the title bar), and when I need to go back to the agent I just open it up and set destination. |
