I will purchase three PLEXES with real money for the frozen corpse of "Light's Administrator" who charges 1 million ISK for comunications.
I was sent a share in the company "Call to Glory" whose website www.uddm.com attempted to hack my computer.
Please read further details in the technology section. |

If a contract could be made for a specific corpse that would solve a few issues with bounties... I've never checked I'm assuming if you had the corpse you can but if you are requesting a specific corpse you can't? |

Well, I guess linking the kill mail would be acceptable proof, but if I drop that kind of real world money, I am going to want some kind of trophy as proof of death. I was informed that corpses can be scooped by the "owner" of the wreck - was that incorrect? |

I scanned my computer upon quitting and was assured that all malware had been safely removed.
Just to be sure, I shut down, then updated my scanner and repeated a whole computer scan.
I then cleared by browser history and added that web site to my restricted sites list so it can never be trusted.
I made my original posts in incognito mode through my browser, then rescanned the browser and EVE again. |

You must be new to this
Don't offer a bounty for his corpse, it's pointless. He'll get one of his friends to pod him (or an alt on a second account if he has one) and claim to PLEX from you.

will your follow-up post be tears about how you were scammed out of your RL money?
The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

Corpses just appear where the pod was and anybody can scoop them.
But they don't have names on them anymore so I'm not sure you'll get the specific satisfaction you want.
Especially if somebody pods themself and forges a sweet KM.

Bounty system is INCREDIBLY broken... Gustav is correct about most of the above... are corpses still anonymous though or only just in contracts? You'd have to get a API verified kill mail. Even then like a previous poster said the person in question can have an alt of his kill him & get 3 plexs from you |

I like how the OP linked a website that apparently tried to hack his computer. Is the OP actually the hacker in disguise? |

that's a banable offense isn't it? The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. Well, given that it is impossible for me to verify, I guess I won't be paying out on it after all.
I realized this after the first time I was ganked, that he could climb into a rookie ship and let his buddies kill him.
This is why I tried offering a bounty privately..... maybe I should just send them a bottle of vodka or something? |

um, best course of action would be to let this and your other post die quietly before you become scam target number 1

I think that is a criminal offense .... I don't think he would be allowed near a computer in jail or during parole either (or on bail).
But, given that I seemed to have broken every rule so far - I can only be hung once.
Of course it could be a woman (the first programmers were), but how likely is that in this game? |

Might be. It might just be baby-cheeked innocence though. When you type a URL like www.eveonline.com it will (usually) turn it into a hyperlink ...

Well, given that I update and scan my computer every time I turn it, it is unlikely that the attack came from somewhere else.
However, it is hardly a co-incidence when this is the first time that type of tracking cookie showed up on my computer.
If I am slandering that corp because THEY were the ones who were hacked, I am sorry about that.
In which case I will make a humiliating retraction to them in a forum of their choosing - but what do you think the odds were? |

Maybe we should just close out this discussion (how?) and move it over to a discussion about how a corpse should be identifiable and scooped, rather than used as a ball in a macabre game of soccer between two mining barges as goal posts? |

I had a share from the same corp, and considering i had never heard of them and it was only 1 share from a 3 man corp i just gave the share back, since most things in eve are a scam attempt.
As for the cookies welcome to the internet. May i suggest http://blogs.sfweekly.com/thesnitch/cookie_monster.jpg or maybe just unplugging your ethernet. Every website you visit even these forums put cookies on your computer. Info http://www.howstuffworks.com/cookie.htm
In the time you have spent tearing it up in 2 forums you could have already ran a locator agent on the three people in that corp and killed them yourself. If you are not sure who is in there corp you can always go to http://evewho.com and find out but beware of the cookies.

Not true. If you Show Info on the corpse it has the pilot's name up by the image of the corpse in space. I have a few in my locker for partied and stuff. |
