your "expert third party" is on Yahoos email blacklist for spamming though, . . .
. . . otherwise this email would have never landed in my spam box
I bolded the explanation.
I saw that
Re read my Explination again.
the company they are useing is on a Global blacklist for hosting spam. anything comeing from their "address" or even from their dedicated IP address will automaticaly be chucked into everyones spam list.
theirfor CCP decided to pay some third party (CP20 in this case) who is a known and blacklisted spammer to send out the Emails for them in order to get past everyones spam protection. . . .
in other words,
THEY GAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO A KNOWN SPAMER
WORSE THEY PAYED THEM TO TAKE THE EMAIL ADDRESSES FROM THEM
DO I REALY NEED TO SPELL OUT JUST HOW !@#$ STUPIDO CCP WAS IN DOING SO?
Funny, they're not on the spam list in on my GMail account, and to this day I have not received a single spam e-mail so I know it's working. Maybe if Yahoo's e-mail service wasn't such crap... ---------------- Play EVE: Downtime Madness v0.83 (Updated 7/3) |

For the curious, we use a 3rd party service to send bulk emails for a number of reasons but the biggest reason is spamfilters. Many ISPs are on hairtrigger response for spam and a series of protocols are evolving to help legitimate bulk email navigate those filters. CCP is not in a position to spend the time to become masters of this arcane art, so we rely on a 3rd party to do it for us.
Our service providers are also able to track and measure the effectiveness of the email campaigns in complex and delightful ways and it would be hard and expensive for CCP to build its own parallel technology to do that.
LOL, we do the EXACT same thing.
Trying to navigate todays spam filers, blacklists, etc. is a freaking nightmare, hell we don't even send marketing mail off our servers and currently we got blacklisted by a major ISP for automated emails sent from the hosting company server to customers.
BAH it sucks!
