I am in a corp who's base area is in luminaire, which is gallente space my standings with them is 2.05 bad and i only have lvl1 missions available to me, my nearest lvl3 mission for caldari/amarr is 24 jumps away. my nearest lvl2 mission for again caldari is 2 jumps away. should i bother trying to improve gallente standing in order to get higher missions in what is currently my base area, or should i just ignore my standing with gallente and crack on with missions that pay the most? my gut instinct is saying persevere with the lvl1's and improve standing.
many thanks

My advice, do what you want to do and what you think is best.
Also take into consideration how important it is to stick really close to your fellow corporation members. If you do a lot of stuff together in fleets it might be wise to grind up standings with Gallente and stick around close to them.
If you are only using corp channel to have nice chat and for the rest it's more of a do your own thing corp you could just move to Caldari space and run your own missions.
So it all depends on your personal opinion and what kind of corp you are in. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Train for jump clones and just switch between them every other day. Note that flying along with corp buddies in higher level missions is both fun and will rise standings fast. FIRE FRIENDSHIP TORPEDOES ! Louis's epic skill guide v1.1 |

I'd suggest using a jump clone to solo-mission when your corp mates aren't online. Train Infomorph Psychology. You'll need to either join a corp that create you a jump clone; or hope that one of your corp mates owns a rorqual with a clone bay.
When your corp mates are online, tag along on their missions. There's no reason to start your own. Alternatively, start looking into another corp.
There's plenty you can do without standing, such as exploration, which often proves more lucrative that missions.
In the end, I'd try not to lose standing if you can avoid it. Having a high standing will give you access to jump clones, better missions, discounts, and better LP. Also, a high enough faction standing will allow you to do research missions, which you don't need to be at your computer to run, giving you a small, constantly supply of ISK that you don't need to work for. |

No. They are used by GMs and ISD folk when they need agents for events.
The game has a tutorial that gives you a mining laser and a railgun and tells you to go shoot rocks and red crosses. It teaches you nothing else. It's been that way for 8 years, so are you really surprised that there are people who aren't aware that this is a pvp game? --Jafit McJafitson |

Actually there are other Event Agents besides the ones that CCP uses for 'Live Events'.

So you might only need to raise your Gallente standing 0.05 to get other agents available, depending on your agent/corporation standings (+1.0 for level 2, +3.0 for level 3, etc..)
If you don't have Diplomacy at level 5 yet, then training just one level more will raise your faction standing above important -2.00.
