PLEASE stop the whining already... I'm absolutely convinced that people have started outsourcing their whining to India. Otherwise EVE would be completely empty with all the forum-warriors and EFT-humpty-dumpties trolling around on here.
After training for MONTHS (HAC and ****-loads of support-skills all pretty much essential for nano-setups) I just fitted out my first Nanotar and trust me: When you fly a ship that costs 250mil you suddenly become veeery careful about who you attack...
It only takes ONE false move (or ANY semi-intelligent gang) to make quarter of a Billion go 'splode (minus a bit of insurance-payout) for one of the most expensive, least impressive fireworks you ever saw.
All in all: - it's damn expensive - it needs massive skills in many areas - you need huge skill to make it last longer than it's maiden voyage into low- or no-sec
Definately a tense feeling, flying a nanotar... But that's exactly what I love EVE for! I know that if I screw up, I'll have lost Months of prep and money. It would be devastating.
But that makes staying alive and trying to outsmart everybody all the more exiting and gives EVE an intensity in PVP that no other game can recreate.
Don't cheapen the whole of EVE for the few whiners! Nobody will miss them, but we ALL will miss "our old EVE"!
Thanks for listening, I feel a better now...
PS: I'm DEAD SERIOUS about the kitten though, so STOP IT!

Stupid, stupid argument, it prove you have little understanding of how Eve's market work. Polycarb are expensive because there 's a lot of demand of it, period. If nanos are nerfed, demand for those rigs will fall, and it won't be expensive anymore.

And what are those areas? What skills apply only to nano ships? How much more training time does it represent compared to conventionnal armor/shield tanking?

Crap argument, again. A conventionnal shield or armor tanked ship require just as much, if not more.

If it's excitation you're after, then why do you fit your ship with training wheels? Don't delude yourself, that's exactly what nanofits are, because they remove your need to commit ot a fight. Just like WCS did.

Your point is clear (altho I completely dissagree), your last sentence turns your post into epic failure however.

Ship price and training time mean nothing in regards to combat ability(BlackOps&Marauders anyone?), and however great it is it isn't supposed to grant you invulnerability and "iWin" button for sure.

Shadowsword is right on this one. Eve needs to slow down a bit, in terms of ship speed. The insane speed peaks need to go, aswell as maybe reduce the boost of mwds a bit.

Sorry, but epic-fail... I'm not even gonna dignify that with an answer. Put simply, none of your arguments are true...
I also understand EVE's marked just fine... Most likely even more so then you...
And about the Poly-Prices: WOW, WELL DONE!!! So then it will be 235mil instead of 250mil. You're a hero...

Let me put it this way... what's easier to kill : a carrier, a mothership, a titan or a nanofit ? Now same question for cost when destroyed.
See a pattern here ? And one outlier ? Which one is it ?

So you feel that because you spent a fukton of isk on your ship that it should be the "i win button" that can't be touched?
OR
You feel that because you have trained probably the same skills as myself that you should get an "i win button" that can't be touched?
MAYBE
You feel you should have an "i win button" because you copied someone else's nanoship config that they copied off of someone else who copied off another down to the person that originally tested it all out? So xerox setups should = "i win button"??
THEN THERES ALWAYS..
"YOU BROKE MY WARPSTABS!!!! I HATE YOU!!!!!!! YOU OWE ME THIS CCP!!!!!!!!! *CRY!*" which should give you the " i win button".
wonder which one it will be today?

the issue with polycarb prices isnt the demand for the polys but its both polys and cargo rigs combined.
Some of the Hacs are designed for speed vaga(demios to some extent).
some of the speeds on ships can get pretty insane i agree but generally when u get to that speed its hardly flyable nor cheap in any sense of the word.
So stop whining about nano ships and learn how to kill them this is eve. ccp and your mom isnt here to hold your hand and the losers dont get trophies.

Nice to hear your life-story, but against popular belief, I'm not THAT interested in your sexual tendencies and what you do to that poor cat when you're all alone with it at night... Also, we're corp-mates, so let's keep it civil, ey? And on topic, which would make me even more happy.

depends on which one your trying to nano
a vaga no u dont need polys to get a nice speed tank for it ishtar on the other hand needs em and at that its still slower the na a vaga. But the nano ishtar is my favorite for its dps. which generally when fully fitted and rigged its close to the 250mil mark.
my vaga 100-115mil and is faster but imho less useful.

OP is lame :(.
They only cost a lot because of demand. Nano's at some point will either be nerfed, or a more suitable counter will be introduced, just like WCS.
Personally I'd like to see mines again in game, be cool if we could mine our stargates :). (FoF mines that won't attack friends would be nice too).
Another solution would be the Subspace Disruptor Bubble. (This is like a webber but on massive scale just like the warp bubbles :) )
