If someone links to a site that's trusted by the majority of eve players: Battlecilnic, etc. Please don't give me a pop-up when I try to go to that page.
Yeah I know websites can be bad, but if it's battleclinic, I'd like to go straight there without seeing any extra screens.
It wouldn't be hard to make a short list of these by looking at forum usage and determining how many peolpe are navigating out of the forums to each site.
If you want to make "websites are bad" part of your legal strategy, just put it in a eula when someone makes their first evegate account or whatever. |

It's really not that hard to click "Continue" and it's CCP covering themselves because there are sites out there which can be dangerous. |

I think the issue for CCP is that if one of those sites gets compromised it doesn't matter how much you trust it, you'll still get skanked. If you have to click "yes" to navigating to it CCP are completely in the clear.
If there is a trusted list which you don't have to click "yes" to there is at least an argument for blaming CCP.
So by making you click once each time to say "yes" to proceeding they cover themselves completely.
I doubt, because of this, that your request will be put into practice.
Also, of all the things to complain about, having to click once to navigate to a third party website is really not all that important or trauma inducing. |

How about a yearly confirmation?
Like, once per year, you say that you want to navigate to external links. It remembers til the year is up.
Or once per 99 years (I think that's the legal limit of a contract IRL but not sure). |

The only thing that could possibly work that would do what you want would be a legal disclaimer with a checkbox in your profile settings that said something like "I understand that me clicking on links is my own fault and CCP is completely and totally blameless of whatever happens to me because of clicking any link" which would turn off that warning for all links for you.
CCP can't discriminate between links though, they can't make a whitelist of sites without opening themselves up to legal retribution. |

How do you suppose that CCP are going to guarantee that Chribba isnt going to one day decide to put malware on his site????
Seriously OP, think about it.
