As an individual who gets insanely bored at his cubicle, I'm looking for ways to help pass the time so I can go home. What do you do to help pass the time? Do you play games? Surf other forums? Read the news perhaps? Or do you actually just do your work? __________________________________________________

I don't think I'd be able to persuade the guy in IT to install it for me. We don't get administrative rights for these computers. Hell, i had to ask for permission to use Firefox and they had to install it for me! __________________________________________________

Can't you even copy files from a USB drive? That's all you need to get EVE installed.

You don't even have to copy it off the USB drive. Just run it straight off there.
Yes I'm an IT guy and yes I would watch your local drive for large additions like that. :P

Will the game run much slower when it's started from the USB drive? __________________________________________________

But when I do get bored happens a fair amount I work for the gov.
I have my own office and the back of my computer faces the door. So you can't see what I'm doing when you walk in
2. Watch TV - Alluc.org - Youtube (blocked for me )
3. Play Onlince Games - Tactical Arena Online (like chess) - haven't looked for other
4. Read Eve Stuff - Sc****Heap Challenge - Eve Tribune - my alliance / corp websites - new chronicles when the come out
5. Read comics (marvel dc) - DL them from home bring them to work on a job drive
6. Make ship fits with EFT - I enter my skills manually since the eve port is blocked in my office
7. Vist http://www.i-am-bored.com/ - I only hit here if I'm really bored.

I made the mistake of introducing my boss to EVE. Suddenly, port 26000 is blocked in the company except on his computer, where it seems every time I walk into his office, he's logged in.
*sigh
It's so unfair.

Yep, 3471 if my memory serves me right, you just need to edit the client to use it instead.
