No grudges here particular.
I would however, love to sink my teeth into IAC again. Great way to start out, see what numbers we can achieve, against a foe that isn't particularly challenging.
Start out on their border systems, away from F4R (whereby we inevitably witness the CVA blob as backup), and see how that goes. -A- is overrated, always have been. Evil Thug is overrated.
Smashkill is tempting too (well, what is left of them), but can't imagine them posing a serious challenge in their current form.
2, 3, 5 - I simply don't think that we have the numbers to combat them currently. See how the turnout is against one of the alliances above, and then move from there.
7. I've a feeling that PL might have what is coming to them soon enough, and they'll find themselves without a significant foothold in Fountain. BDCI - Phoenus Posts: 24 Joined: 19 Jun 2008, 23:11

AFAIK, Karb's presence on IRC was addressed directly to him by Daco earlier. When I saw him still there a bit later (non-alliance guy in an alliance IRC channel) I kicked him. I can see how this might be... confusing?
As for the Daisho comparisons, I'm sure Darth can speak for his alliance just fine. If I wanted ultimate powah over anything, I'd be telling people to go outside and paint my fence or something actually useful.
Never had an issue with you personally, Karb; you just didn't belong in the IRC channel and several people had already asked me about it. This level of emo is fairly awesome tho. Any 'domain selling' issues had nothing to do with me because that's just not my area (me like fasts internetz stuffs). That was between Dakisha and you AFAIK. *shrug*
BDCI - STFU.
EDIT - Did this 'dump' also expose all the info for the TRI guys as well who were on that old forum? -

At worst - I haven't seen the data structures, and I don't want to, but if there's anything personally identifiable in there - which can include usernames, profile data etc - then it's likely to be an illegal disclosure under the data protection and/or privacy laws of many countries.

I'm not sure about that particular law, but they were the ones to register on his server, knowing their info would be on there. I think that waives their privacy. :)

Are you confusing a decision to discontinue services with a decision to release personal information and private discussions? The two are very different things. One is honorable and one is not. One is emo and one is not. One is professional, and one is not.

No, I'm not. They neclected to come to an agreement over the work Karbo did, both financiel and thereby duty of confidentiality. He paid for the things in real cash, and they still think he should be happy, unpaid, and silent about things after he got cut out?

look out guys! The E-honor clause has been invoked!
How's about this, don't **** off the guy who's got access to your personal information, or better yet, use a trash email account to register to forums and games on.
You're responsible for protecting your own information. Just because you pay 15 bucks a month and are flying internet spaceships with somebody doesn't mean they aren't a raging emo ****wit who will release said personal information the day you tinkle in his cheerios.

I can understand and even support the move to take the forum and killboard down. After all, you spent your real money making them and keeping them running, you should get something for that. However, you should have sent eve mails to people in that Alliance to at least try to get something for your troubles. I'm sure that someone would have been willing to pay you.
However, the decision to post the e-mails and pw's of all the people on the forum is worse than low. You made things personal for everyone in that alliance. People who had no idea what was going on are going to be hurt just because you posted that stuff. And the effects aren't just going to be felt today, what you did will continue to plague people with spam and hacking attempts for months to come. To me, you are worse than any corp theif or scammer out there. At least those people target individuals and the hurt they cause effects them immediately.
If I were in your current alliance I would boot you asap. If you betrayed the trust and friendship of your old alliance over this, who's to say you won't do the same to your current alliance/corp. However, that's their decision in the end. And as for using your service... You expect people to use your services knowing that if they do anything to offend you ever, you'll post their info to the public. lol yeah right.
In the end, you didn't just mess over every individual in that alliance, you probably hurt yourself(in future revenue) too

I am willing to bet every pilot in TRI and a crapload outside of it will still to this day vouche for karb. He is a standup guy who puts in a crapload of RL time and effort into alot of peoples things, and doesn't ask for hardly anything back. Would take alot to scorn him, this isnt as simple as alot of people are making it out to be, saying it was just him getting kicked from TS that caused it.
Whether you agree with what he did as a result matters not. Everyone put their info in his hands, just like they put their reputation in their ceo/corp/alliances hands, more or less.
End of story is: karb, how you doin? <3 ___________________

All it took to scorn your BFF is to deny him from reading RQM's alliance IRC. That's a real stand up guy, alright.
You're right, I don't think anything about RQM seems simple with all the drama surrounding it, but this was just plain stupid on his part, and those people defending him look just as stupid. Put yourself in the position of the actors and think about what you might have handled differently. Think about how your alliance might feel in a similar situation.

Edited by: Karbowiak on 11/07/2008 00:57:08 To everyone who hates me, you have reason to do so - i'd prolly also hate me if i where in your shoes.
To everyone who loves me, i love you too ;) <3
That being said, i will not or have not betrayed _ANYONE_ i host stuff for before, and i probably never will. But the way The Requiem handled this was abysmal, it was lower than low.
I talked on IRC with Dakisha about what to do with the domain, and nothing came out of that really - a day or so later i talked about it again, and we began talking about me transfering it over - and i said i didn't want to do that without getting something for the domain itself. Which was actually today, at which time i had the domain for aprox. 14 days total.
At that time Dakisha laughed and denied it - IRC Logs -> (17:06:48) (Dakisha) for the domain (17:06:52) (Dakisha) is the transfer key (17:07:03) (Karbowiak) what? (17:07:09) (Karbowiak) you want me to transfer the domain over ? (17:07:14) (Dakisha) thought that was the plan (17:07:45) (Karbowiak) well, just seems a bit unfair that i give it to ya after i bought and spent money on it :\ (17:07:51) (Dakisha) lol (17:07:52) (Dakisha) forget it (17:07:54) (Dakisha) I'll just reg the .com
After that i didn't talk much more about it, rest is pointless (full logs will be available if you scream about it). a little later on the requiem channel this happens.

Sofar im actually THE ONLY ONE comming with evidence, only thing Requiem is doing is damage control.
Anyway, last post from me forever. Whatever happens from now on, me getting kicked from Tri or not - i dont care. I did a mistake, and i'd have to live with it. Feel free to bash me for that.

That was no victory. It was a straightforward honest right-under-your-nose gank. In your space. With the rest of your pilots remaining docked while I chuckled away during the approx 15-20 minutes it took our little crew to drop him.

Mmmmmm....major jump-bridge POS left undefended. I would suggest less forum smack and more fuel hauling. Go go Goon logistics .
p.s. If you send me ten billion ISK right now I might not reveal the other 23 unfueled Goon POS's alone discovered in just a few jumps.
p.p.s. Keep your ISK. I don't want it. Simply revealing those (and more as I find them) POS locations will be entertainment a-plenty for me .
