I bought a 90 day GTC for 400mil about 45 days ago. I know 60 day is a new size, and 90 day dont exist anymore right?
Just wondered if anyone knew of the reasons behind the price incerease. Example. on a 90 day @ 400mil you pay 4.4mil/day. A 60day @400mil is 6.6mil per day.
That 50% more.
Are GTC sellers just getting greedy? as i can see no other explanation.

50% inflation?
Does this mean that all other ways of paying CCP will go up 50%? Or just for those who pay via GTC. In some ways i hope it doesnt go up. 50% is a lot. But in some respects i do hope they all go up. Why punish GTC buyers only?

Yes, expect Eve to cost around 18 USD in the next month or so due to the increase in GTC.

ccp is trying to stop the whines on gtc for isk is rlc for isk they removed the 30 and 90 day codes now only 60 days so less people buy the codes there for more can be charged i can see the gtc going up to 480m isk if not more.

No, thse is ekocnomicaly imposselbel. If 60 day GTCs is 150M each then Eve month sub. is moar liek 20.00 for GTCs.
But if you wanted chaep subs, use a kredict kard. It is hard not math ... --------- Technica impendi Caldari generis. Pax Caldaria!

The GTC ISK price is linked directly to the dollar value of the GTC Since the dollar value of a 60 dy is roughly the same as a 90 day was, the isk value will be roughtly the same Simple really.

GTC ISK price is linked directly to how much people are willing to buy them for and how much people are willing to sell them for. It's entirely possible that a 60 day GTC can go down to 200m or up to a billion, it's all supply and demand baby.

Some people are selling them for 450m isk each now. You'll always get some idiot who waits until the very last day of his subs to run out who'll panic and go pay that kind of isk for one. So it doesn't suprise me GTC sellers hiking the prices like they do.
Fools and their money and all that...

With this last statement then, with reference to the OP's original post. Then this does mean basically that that CCP are charging more for the game. ATM i could buy a 60 day GTC for $35. Did a 90 day retail at the same price then? If yes, then they are charging more for the game. (50% more based on the GTC price). So we should expect to see all other ways of paying for the game to increase 50%. Simple really.

It's a great time to raise the price. Everyone knows the price is going to go up due to new prices in real life currency. those people selling are trying to crank the price up to more than it "should" be and hope no one notices.

Basically you can charge what the market will bare. If ppl are willing to pay 400 mil for 60 days, then that's a good price, no matter what a 90 days card costed.

My prediction is that 60Day GTC's will settle at or around 460m Simply because 14 hours of mining in a hulk to play Eve Online for 2 months is a complete joke.
Time will tell...

45 days ago a 90 day gtc cost $39 and sold for 400M - aka 10,25M/$
Now 60 days cost $35 and would thus sell for (10.25*35) = 359M (to keep the same isk/$ value).

Which means that something else happened either one or both of: 1) More people playing / paying via isk due to FW / promotions etc. 2) Less people buying GTC's to sell
CCP are charging about 35% more, the other factor is all player driven.

Edited by: bluebeyond on 13/07/2008 15:40:54 CCP have let me down big time tbh.
I had four accounts which i use to run on 90 day GTCs. I could pretty much keep up with that every three months. Now i have no chance of getting the 1.6bill together and have isk to spend on ships and items....
This game will be costing me 75 GBP (150 USD) every two months now because i simply cannot afford GTCs anymore.....
That's a lot for a game

no CCP are not getting greedy. This is because the value of the dollar has slid for many years however the value of Icelandic kroner has remained steady.
