Hello there, Iam new to EVE and started two weeks ago. My characters attributes are:(including learning skills at 2 Cha one is 4)

Since i started with a very high charisma I would to know if i have a complete gimped character here. If thats the case, is it possible to transfer my stuff to my new one? Thanks in advance.

Dunno, but the best option is to have everything equal and charisma 2-3 points lower. Else you either gimp yourself in spaceship command/weapons training or the support skills. --- Braaaiiinnnsssssssssss |

You can fly easily enough to Kor-Azor, wherever you start - it's maybe an hour of AFK autopilot in a noob ship. Do it before you go to sleep or something, nobody will shoot you.
The standard way to make a good combat character is Caldari Achura, female(because the males look like me), 3 charisma 9 in the others. It's a guideline, but it's not a bad one. You don't have to hyper-specialize that much, but if you're not planning to go for trading, fleet command ships, or CEO of a major corporation, there's not really any downside to it. If you want a resource on what attributes you start with, use this page, and remember that you get to add 5 points on top of what's listed there. ------------------ Fix the forums! |

Edited by: Xelios Xarxes on 18/07/2008 06:33:16 I'd reroll, and lower Charisma to 7 or lower, lower is generally better (personally I ended up with 8-8-8-8-7 myself but I don't mind rounded stats). If you want to be Amarr, Amarr Khanid Cyber Knight will make a fantastic toon for you with potentially rounded attributes. Please don't add to the Achura breed, ugh.

Wana go PvP way get lotsa willpower and perception for gunnery and spaceship command skills.
More industrial go for intelligence and memory.
Just try and get them as high as possible for the area you wana play with.

Dont delete char, but keept it as alt. You can train it fast some trade skills, so he can sell your items later :D

This is good advice if you have any intention to work the market and earn yourself some isk via selling whatever you have from your new "main" character through him, and buying what you need through him as well.
Otherwise, if you arent keen on buying/selling basics, or you think accounting is something for the geeks, go ahead and nuke him. -

In terms of absolute effect on training time for all skills this is how the various stats compare to each other.
Perception > Intelligence > Memory > Willpower > charisma
Charisma is bottom of the heap, but if you ever go to train leadership, social, corporation, or many of the trade skills you'll feel frustrated at having set it so low. Doesn't mean you shouldn't, depending on what you plan to do with your character, make it your lowest stat, just a warning that it can be frustrating.
Also, even if you go for PvP you should probably not make willpower your second highest stat as PvP requires a lot of secondary skills, probably more than PvE, so you'll probably want to make intelligence or memory your second highest stat. ____________________
