I was just wondering what people think the top 10 worst things you can do in EVE to get your ship blown up in High-sec.
01. Go AFK outside a station 02. Go AFK at a gate 03. AFK Travel 04. Help an Alliance friend test there tank 05 Use smart bombs 06. Allow a 0.0 dweller to travel through highsec with active weapons 07. Destroy those pesky savage wrecks 08. Allow your friend with -10 take that shortcut through high-sec in a ship 09. Join someone else's group or fleet 10. Log off in Jita won't destroy your ship but if you can't log on well
I am sure there are more |

Often people comment about that as the funny part, i was being lazy and ran out of room in the cargo hold so I fitted them on to save space.

Shooting your alt in your alt corp without flipping the can first. Not being selective when assigning drones.

I was watching a large gate camp in 0.0 a while ago. My cat jumped on the Keyboard and I decloaked . I could see all the "!" marks appear above everyone's ship. I got away (just) but the cat is locked out of my room for future ops.

Lost a Drake because I thought I could shoot at gang members even if they're not in my corp and get away with it.
Lost a rigged Raven due to falling asleep at my computer during a level 4 mission.
Lost a second rigged Raven the next day by being AFK and leaving my drones out to shoot all the triggers in the mission.. And this was when I barely had any tanking skills.
Also, I've lost a couple of frigs at first by acidentally shooting stuff I shouldn't, as well as I once lost a smart bomb fitted Drake because I wanted to show that you definately could use SBs around a gate with little to no risk.

Running a mission and having your antivirus decide it's time to run a rootkit scan...
...just as you warp into a combat area with 8 fighters pouncing on your ship.
Put it this way: EvE is NOT playable when your framerate jumps to 1 every 2 seconds :(

Edited by: Kessiaan on 24/07/2008 00:54:56 I'll add a couple I've run into...
1) Trying to loot a wreck with your unarmed hauler alt the same time it gets flipped. (clicky for epic fail glory)
2) Trying to warp out from a mission when the tank is failing.. and getting hung up on a building.
3) Testing your pvp setups by dueling hard-core pirate types outside rookie stations until you pop (intentional but a loss is a loss) ----- My in Eve Profile My BattleClinic Page |

Edited by: Joe Starbreaker on 24/07/2008 01:13:02 Is this in order of dumbest, or funniest, or what? Here's my top ten in order of "Doh!"
- Flip a can in order to duel somebody, but forget that you aren't allowed to shoot first.
- Prime your weapons, but accidentally click the wrong target in the overview.
- Ninja salvage a mission without paying attention to what the runner is doing.
- Assume that you can easily kill an ore thief or loot ninja because he's in a frigate or non-combat ship.
- Never try PVP -- ensuring that you know nothing about PVP tactics, ship fittings, and counters.
- Think it's ok to autopilot through popular highsec systems because you're not a suicide gank target, forgetting about all the people who have killrights on you.
- Trade your ship to somebody who promises to put rigs on it for you.
- Respond to a request to remote repair somebody (with your Logistics) who is sitting outside the station in a cheap ship with a negative security rating and a smile on his face.
- After the first time you get Concorded for some innocent mistake, graciously accept the loss and vow not to repeat the mistake. Spend all your remaining cash on a replacement ship, and undock to get back into the game... without waiting 15 minutes.
- Right click your ship in the hangar and accidentally pick the option just above "Make Active".

I was hoping somebody would own up to this. I have heard the colorful words twice in corp chat when this has happened and we all got a great laugh so I knew it must have happened to others
In general the final words tend to be something on the lines of hating high-sec
THanks for being brave enough to post.

When I was in IAC we were pretty much perma-decced by Privateers for a bit, so we went on a bit of an empire roam. Myself and an alliance mate both lost our HACs attacking an afk red Raven after just missing the Privateers fleet warping out.

i have one:
accidentally using a smartbomb outside a highly populated station, and nearly killing like 3 frigs in the process, your in such a rush for that slight chance that none of the local vultures looted your wreck, you undock in another one of your valuable ships, and forget about the GCC

This won't work anymore, but I got a lot of free back in '03 when I told people I could improve their ships if they traded me their ship so I could apply some 1337 to it.
