EVE Search - Secure containers anchored in 1.0

Sirus Orion	Posted - 2004.05.27 01:02:00 - [1] Well I'm new to EVE but I know there's a rula that you can't do that any more and I'm being told that containers that are anchored in 1.0 - 0.8 space must be from the time before that change. Is that true? If that is the case why not have them removed? Give everyone x day to move them or they will poof. Was that discussed ever before? If yes, please point me to the result of that discussion and ignore me. Thanks.

And CCP has said they'll be removed (at least I think they've said as much), but some folks have so many scattered so far and wide, they want to give them a chance to gather up their cans. Mathias Lilienfeld	Posted - 2007.08.16 00:10:00 - [9] Yes you can, but the containers won't be secured by password, they'll be just like regular can. I thought that my can was protected and than there came such ... and took my cans. Ofcourse I'm saying about sec higher than 7.0.

Here's how you contribute: Whenever you're in 0.8-10 space in a hauler (and you have some spare space) - grab an unanchored can or two. There's plenty about - most with "blah blah corp is recruiting - contact some idiot for details" or some such garbage as a label - I wonder if anyone ever responds to these "ads". You can use or sell the can - why buy cans when there's free ones out there. It's not great money, but they can be sold. There's NO CRIMINAL FLAGGING for this and you're REDUCING LAG. Every time you jump through a gate, you load up all the items around the gate....every can you take is one less to load. This is a personal project and nothing to do with my corporation or alliance. WGAnubis Marrith Gallente	Posted - 2007.08.16 12:44:00 - [12] Some of the containers in the 1.0 should actually stay to be honest. I recall launching out of bouyners (sp) with another chracter and seeing someone had taken the time to set up a tutorial of sorts with the containers for warping around and the like. If the containers in 1.0-0.8 are ever removed I hope CCP doesnt do a blanket move.
