I am an inexperienced mission runner and blundered my way through the lvl 3's and arrived at lvl 4. I am interested in doing lvl 4 missions now. I have 2 accounts and 1 has a Raven and the other a Dominix, both with decent skills. I would like to start doing missions with both characters, they each have a quality -18 lvl 4 agent. I am wondering if someone would be so kind as to tell me how to set up the battleships in the best way so that i can do missions with either character where the other supports. I am guessing 1 has an aggressive setup while the other has a defensive and supporting setup?
If anyone want to spend some time explaining then i would be grateful

Fit the Dominix for maximum tank with medium/light drones to take out cruisers and frigates. Use the raven with torpedoes and maximum gank fitting to take out battleships.

So the Dominix maybe :
High 3 x Heavy Nos 2 x Drone Link Augmentor 1 x any gun
Medium 1 x 100mn Afterburner 4 x Cap Recharger
Low 2 x Large Armor Repairer 4 x Armor Hardeners, tailored for the mission 1 x Capacitor Power Relay
Drones
5 x Warden sentry drones, regardless of mission. 5 x Heavy drones. 5 x Medium drones. 5 x Light drones.

ive been using the domi/raven combo for a while now and i really like it
raven has a remote amror rep, the domi has remote shield, both have normal active mission tanks. raven with cruise and combat drones domi has mix of combat drones and sentrys.
works a treat.

I wouldn't do it TBH, too much hassle and a Raven can do L4 alone fine... Generally you want to have a second ship boost you that you don't need to control all the time.
With Domi and Raven I can only think of: - Domi with perma-running shield transfer and "approach" on the Raven, also delegating 5 heavy T2 drones to it
Since you cannot remote boost a raven much (dps-wise) without locking targets, there's no other "logistics and dps boost" option I can think of.
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

I started lvl 4 missions that way.
Raven: Whatever you wanŠt to fit really, it doesnŠt matter. I prefer torps. If you plan on doing this for a long time, iŠd suggest a Raven with missile range rigs and torps.
I usually go:
Higs: 6 T2 Siege (or arbalest)
Mids: 3-4 hardeners, xl booster and TP
Lows: 3 BCS, 1 Damage control, 1 PDU
Rigs: Rocket fuel cache x 2, 1 hydraulic bay thruster.
Dominix:
High: 2-4 large shield transporters, 2 drone link augmentors
Mids: 5 cap rechargers
Lows: This depends on your skills. You can either go 7 cap relays, and use the domi for logistics, and dps support, or you can go 2 LAR and 5 hardeners
Rigs: 3 CCC.

Edited by: Balcura on 27/07/2008 01:20:07 I have a slightly different take on this one... I use the domi to tank the raven but here is the idea.
Raven fit 6x seige launchers, 1x large energy transfer II and 1x large remote armor rep II 1x cap recharger II, 4x hardners, large shield rep II 2x PDS II's, 1x DC II, 2x BCU II's
Domi Fit 3x drone range modules, 2x large shield transfer II's and 1x large energy transfer II 5x cap recharger II's 2x CPR II's, 1x DC II, 1x ENAM II, 1x Kin II, 1x Exp II, 1x LAR II
I have then warp into the mission with with the raven, all the modules active and pull agro. As soon as all the guys are blinking I warp the Domi in and start the energy transfer. Toss a pair of reps from the domi onto the raven. as soon as I have range I start blowing ships up with drones and torps. If the domi pulls any agro I turn on the large rep and kill his agro 1st.
The reason I use energy transfer is this... cap used 366 base (292.8 after skill) 351 transfered they feed each other cap

I tried the same but it is more of a hassle than i thought. The dominix would constantly get aggro instead of the raven, even with no drones out.

both ships can tank a mission easy, the domi would always just the tank, and will always have empty hi-slots to be filled with logistics / salvaging. the raven i guess your using for dps, so just let the domi in first, let him aggro with a form of gun, and then let drones loose, then the raven comes in and does dps. easily done.

Originally by: Robert Rosenberg Fit the Dominix for maximum tank with medium/light drones to take out cruisers and frigates. Use the raven with torpedoes and maximum gank fitting to take out battleships.
Same here, this is pretty much exactly what I do and it works great.
Setup :
Domi
Highs, whatver Mids - Cap recharger II Lowss 4 x T2 hardeners CPR II 2 x T2 LAR
Raven
Regular cruise setup or rigged torp
Let the Domi take all or most of the aggro (with all those rechargers it's not labour intensive), pop out the drones, and then get the raven popping battleships. Seriously cuts your mission time especially if like me you started out with a Domi :)

I like to setup the the raven for resists/damage rate of fire rig, and something else (calibration limits you from 2 missile rigs) and the domi for tank/cap recharge /remote shield rep
put 1 remote armor rep on the raven in case new waves aggro the domi and it needs help, and 2 shield reps on the domi, and one armor rep, (just in case and for drone repair)
domi can take out the trash then finish the bs if the raven leaves anything

The raven and domi are probably the 2 best T1 mission runners out there so you shouldn't have much trouble regardless of how you do it.
Maybe fit the raven as the tank because it will allow the domi to sit back and use rails and sentries with a gank fit and no tracking issues.
