Hi,
I've read once or twice in threads where people suggest to "check logs" to see what happened. Usually when this is mentioned, it's talking about a lost ship etc.
Can anyone tell me what logs (if they know) are being referred to?
Thanks. --- ...damn, my sig was nerf'd by CCP. |

Depends.
They probably mean eve-mail. Once your ship or escape pod is destroyed you will get an eve-mail with details on what has happened, who killed you and where, and what weapons they have used to strike final blow.
They could also refer to "LOG" button. It is last button on your HUD-Menue on left side by default. It contains more information on what has happened in great detail. It is also quite useful. However you should keep in mind that if you have left the system this log will null itself and start over. If you want anything saved right click on it and paste elsewhere.
Finally third is your wallet log. Could be either transaction history or plain journal. In Journal you see all financial entries including trading, donations and bounty hunting.
Good luck on your conquest for glory ;)

These logs are also saved to the "capture/gamelogs" directory of your EVE installation.

Edited by: Father Lazarous on 29/05/2004 13:31:34 Many thanks for your replies.
I've read in another thread, think it as the Crime area about a player losing here "corpse" and wanting it back, even willing to pay!!!
Is this a big deal if your dead, do you not regenerate at a station where you have the clone body?
Also, what is "podding" mean excatly and what does "indy" mean?
Thank in advance, just trying to understand what is what in the world of Eve! --- ...damn, my sig was nerf'd by CCP. |

That player just probably doesnt want someone showing off with his dead body :p
'Podding': When your ship blows up you end up in an escape pod. Killing that pod is called 'podding' :)
Indy means Industrial.
