I have recently had a problem with my warrior II's entering my drone bay. When I recall them to the drone bay 1 or 2 will orbit for a while. I have to change directions sometimes to get the drone to enter my ship. This happens mainly with Dominix. Any thoughts?

tell them to "return and orbit" before you tell them to "return to drone bay"

ya, sometimes drones just wont enter the bay. its nto restricted to warrior II's, nor is it a speed problem. - PvPers always say "GB2WoW". the message is that EVE is hard, and people just need to deal with it. wasn't it funny how when nano's started making it hard for *them*, that all went out the window? |

this has also been happeneing to me as well, like i will be leaving the mission area, aligned to staiton and all, and would call my drones back, 3 would come back immediately, then 2 of them seem to be idk "bumping" into each other to prevent themselves from getting into my drone bay, and i would tell them both to return again and again, ect,
this has been happeneing with heavy drones for the record, so maybe its a bug

In my situation I will use the return to drone bay function and they approach the ship fine but 1 wil just continue to orbit until I get the ship up to about half speed. I am asssuredly not pressing the scoop to drone bay function. Could it be related to drone skills having a too high mwd speed that they over shoot the ship on return? I spam the return to drone bay and the one or 2 that are trying to get in will only get in once my ship is moving. irritating when sitting on mission acceleration gates waiting on drones to get in the drone bay. I did not have this problem in the ishkur tho.

It happens in small ships too. I've had to chase the little blighters in an Ishkur before.
I've gotten to where I just don't carry Warriors anymore in anything but a battleship and then only for THAT INTERCEPTOR NEEDS TO DIE SO I CAN GTFO purposes. That's a one-time use for the most part, so it doesn't matter if they act ******ed.

For me, this only happens with warriors II, and it happes for everyship i happen to use them... but i have noticed that if i am moving, then after one, or maybe two attaempts of the last warrior II drone to enter drone bay, it does finally get in there... on contrary, if ship speed is zero, or close to it, the only way to make it come back to drone bay, is by ordering it to orbit first, the scoop it in. SO it is propably a spped related issue, that involves both drone's and ships speed....

They call it holding hands, you should try to give only one of them a different order and then recall it tot the bay again --- Braaaiiinnnsssssssssss |

I've seen this as well and would add that a moving drake still has the problem.

They are warrior's, Minmatar drones, they are probably nano'ed and need to be nerfed. Once nerfed and slowed down, they should enter your drone bay at a reasonable speed and on the first try.

Duh the OP fails to realize that the warrior II turbo charged engine is more sensible than the other models, therefor it need s a couple rounds around the Domi without stepping the gaz to properly cool the turbo.
Oh and don't make it go into 3000 m/s without a couple orbits to your domi too, give it time to lube the components properly. _____________________________________

yep this also happens to me, only with warrior iis so far.
a temporary fix is to use the assist command to get your errant warrior to head off to a gang mate, then use return to drone bay command again.

This happens to me with my Ogres sometimes, so it's hardly limited to fast drones like Warriors. I was in a roaming fleet this morning and had to be quick off the mark with my Ogres in deploying and recalling, and I was, but for some reason they ignored me a couple of times, and only responded when I told them to come back and orbit before recalling. It's been happening with all my drones with varying degrees of frequency for the past week or so though.
And no, that wasn't lag

I've had it happen. It started happening right after they made the boost to drone controls and AI. It's like they don't shut off the mwd. So you have to "return and orbit" then "return to drone bay" when that happens.
