So in the latest issue of PC Gamer (which featured a full page print add for Eve \o/), Yahtzee announced he was leaving the magazine to focus on "other commitments."
Here's hoping this means more often or longer updates on The Escapist, eh? ---------------- Ambulation Answers

Here's hoping that means he's entering the election contest for US president.
Now, that would be "change".

Obama/Yahtzee.
Yahtzee, with one true to form review of the McCain campaign would instantly destroy any hope he ever had.

To bad for the US that Yahtzee is an Australian citizen and as such couldn't run for US president.

Does that rule apply to VP?

Quote: A person who becomes a U.S. citizen through naturalization is not considered a natural-born citizen. Consequently, naturalized U.S. citizens are not eligible to become President of the United States or Vice President of the United States.
Yes. Since the VP is first in line to become the president if the president is incapable of preforming his duties the VP must also be a "natural-born" US citizen. Silly US laws "Sorry mate, you've been a US citizen for 60 years, fought in Vietnam, won the medal of honor etc... but you weren't born here. Bye" ______________________________________________ -You can never earn my respect, only lose it. It's given freely, and only grudgingly retracted when necessary. |

I wish he would go back to making movies. The man is a icon. There is plenty of people who can play the politics game, but there is only one Arnold.
I guess Christian Bale is not bad for the new T4 movie, but I would still prefer Arnold.

Last I heard yes. But most of Congress is American, so most of them won't really see a need for changing it. _

Yeah anything can be changed in this country. We call them amendments. Thing is there is a very good reason for that part of our constitution to be in place.

seriously, asking Yahtzee to become the president of the US is a really poor way of repaying him for the tons of laughs he's given us, both through ZeroPunctuation and his other reviews... I wouldn't wish the presidency on my worst enemy, let alone someone I like. being the leader of the Americans seems not unlike being the villain in a kids show. you know the kind where the subjects of the villain are all bumbling idiots? no matter how smart the leader is, or how devastating the weaponry he has designed is... some minion will fall over a powercord or click the wrong button and all is for naught. or perhaps I should reverse that statement and the minions are all really smart, but the leader is a moron? ... hmmm... I forget.
King of Britain though...
Besides Yahtzee seems like the kind of guy who would quote Groucho Marx "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.", much less the leader of such a club.

The irony of this is that Sam's character in Son of the Beach was based on Der Gropenfuhrer's many characters. Now he actually gets to fill in for him.

To run for the president. Yachtzee would have to be a member of the CFR first. That is the sad reality of today.

He was never "at" PC Gamer to begin with, he was paid a fat check in exchange for a rant that he emailed to the editor every month. Not having read any of them, I assume he had to provide punctuation and maybe after a while that went against his integrity.
