I've ot a crazy problem. The client keeps d/c'ing at login screen when I am behind my router. The weird thing is, I can do ANYTHING else with it, Age of Conan, WoW, Crysis, Supreme Commander, Hellgate, MSN, Firefox, and no issues.
Quick story: Old router died "wireless g" so bought a new "wireless n" all of a sudden I could not connect at all. I could ping all the server I needed to and all my ports were open, the tech was weirded out so he said get a new router, here is your rma#. So I got a new one, still the same issue. I can take the router out and I can get the game going. However as soon as I plug in, even at factory defaults and behind the DMZ, I still can't get it. I need to keep the router going, because my dad has his comp and my mom runs her radio off of the wireless. The D-Link router tech is installing the game and duplicating my scenario as much as he can, because he wants to figure it out two. It's been a week of this crap, the Eve dudes closed my petitions because they have no answer for me anymore. What gets me is the fact that I can't get it to work when there is no good reason it shouldn't. and my dad is not being co-operative and letting me unplug the router and use a switch and crap instead, he old and paranoid. So short and sweet, I'm frustrated, confused, lost and just generally stumped. However the tech geek in me will not be defeated by a piece of hardware. Any suggestions, lay it on me. Same issue, yet another person.
Originally by: Anddeh McNab Everytime I log into EVE (I run EVE from steam btw) my internet goes haywire. I get booted from EVE and "disconnected" from the net although the icon in the toolbar still shows I'm connected to the internet. Anyone got ideas what's causing this, I think it might be my router (speedtouch bebox) and got any solutions?
Thanks in advance,
Anddeh

WOOT! I got my D-link router to let me play. So for all of you who have had the same problem, I took screenis of my settings. I hope to whatever God you pray to that they help. Took my almost 3 weeks to get it! Just incase, if you can, you might want to Refresh you routers MAC address too.
Mine is a DIR-655, so I may be slightly different, but should be very similar.

Edited by: Fettys Girl on 03/10/2008 13:49:40 hmm i have perhaps a diffrent "issue" with a d-link router no disconnects or anything but it doesnt seem to like the eve voice service
starts off with Blocked incoming UDP packet from 70.42.62.102:3478 to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:57602 then allot of inbound SIP ALG rejected packet from 70.42.62.80:5062 to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:35081 and outbound SIP ALG rejected packet from 192.168.1.10:35081 to 70.42.62.80:5062
probably others but i was just glancing at the rather big log ip of course is owned vivox and disabling eve voice stops the flow of messages
if ccp is at all interested i can make a bug report
