Top metrics may include:
We have some genuinely funny and light-hearted threads going right now... it's the calm before the storm given so many reveals at fanfest this year. New modules, now gameplay, DUST, FW re-balance and iteration, Wormholes, new wardec system, new sov warfare... s*** is getting real. What is going to draw the most ire or enthusiasm?
1) Carebear tears (170-180 pages, 200,000+ views) 2) Sov warfare changes (80 pages) 3) Empire Wardecs (70 pages) 4) New Capital Ships (50 pages)

I am expecting the super fluffy wardec devblogs to begin after fanfest with the intent to avoid any rage so it wont be this one.
Confused about who to vote for in the upcoming CSM election?

It doesn't matter what CCP changes, or doesn't change, it will result in rage and disappointment from some portion of the player base. EVE has a very diverse player base that wants completely different things out of this game from each other. Views of EVE that are often completely incompatible. Although this state of affairs is mostly CCPs fault anyway, by giving mixed messages in design choices, actions, and words. |

I agree there will be tears from some sectors the purpose of the OP is to guess what sectors these may be

It is what CCP have intentionally created - a sandbox where the individual players decide for themselves what the game is or isn't |

I'm going to go with capital changes.
I reckon CCP are too cash hungry to nerf carebears hard enough to bring in any tears, although if they do (and I pray they will) there are so many in eve now the forums will explode. |

Good luck with guessing those things. I think the real question is whether CCP will be bold and make clear design choices knowing it will upset some players, or will they come up with more dysfunctional mismatch of features aimed at not rocking the boat and keeping everyone happy, but ultimately not really satisfying anyone.

Actually have to disagree here, as a lot of the mixed messages from CCP and the underlying conflict within the community over features is around whether EVE should follow the Sandbox model of MMOs or the Themepark one. It isn't often spelled out as such, but that is the undercurrent of the arguments. If EVE really stuck to the Sandbox model, we wouldn't have things like CONCORD or High Sec Incursions, in fact High Sec as we know it in EVE today wouldn't even exist |

I'm all in on the war dec changes. Really nervous about this one. CCP doesn't usually go into details at FF about new mechanics but a single phrase with the wrong wording can create a threadnaught very easily. New modules and "module fixes" would be my second choice.
In other news, did I read correctly this? They are making an out of game voice chat program for EVE-Voice? Will it be free?

It'd be great if CCP could provide a finite definition of "carebear". The word is used by so many in alot of different ways.
Actually that in and of itself might cause a threadnaught, LOL 95% of the players are loving EVE, the other 5%? On the forums. |

My guess is the nerf to incursions intended to make Assaults more attractive than Vanguards, which actually ends up pushing more people into Vanguards due to the people making the decision not understanding what made Vanguards so attractive compared to every other ratting-based ISK making activity.
The nerfing of nullsec ratting will pale in comparison. |

I'd imagine the defender friendly wardec mechanics will illicit rage.
Depends on what the Dust reveal is. If its the usual, WiS style reveal "look at pre rendered stuff and don't ask us questions about it we don't know nor really care what the gameplay is" it will be pretty whiny about that.
Anything virtual good related will be met with rage as well. |

How about Moon PI? The POCO exists, there's not a big stretch to have it replace a POS (if you want to mine it) and drop CCs.
My guess will be wardecs and aggression mechanics in general. My personal hope is they remove the sec-status drop in Low (only that, GCC etc would still exist).
I may have come here from Myst Online, but that does not make me any less bloodthirsty than the average Eve player.
Just more subtle.

This is easy.
