Forget about skillpoints... all you need is a set of balls and the ability to pick yourself up if you get sand kicked in your face. Buy some cheap ships get a clone without implants/some cheap ones and go looking for trouble. I know plenty of people who are well skilled but 'not ready to start pvping'. If you take that attitude you will never be ready. Start out in frigs fit a MWD a scram and some guns. Work your way up to cruisers when you get more confident etc etc. Look in noob lowsec areas, small clusters situated near hisec hubs and go hunting. Assumption of Risk |

Lacks AWU, and Med T2(but since Medium Hybrid is at 5 no big deal). Also compleet Lack of Cap Skills is not that good for a Ship that burns thrue Cap quickly.

I'd say you need 10x Incurus to get started, then 10x of your favorite T1 cruiser.
Rinse, repeat.

Whoever said get into a frigate was right in my book. Hop in a Tristan fit for PvP and head out looking for other frigates to fight. There's a pretty good beginners piracy guide at http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=501785
Skill-wise, your gunnery looks pretty damn solid. You probably want to train up T2 light and medium drones for maximum damage. Gallente are armour tankers so you should look at training up your armour skills (http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=319967). Finally a microwarp drive can be invaluable so train High Speed Manoeuvring. I think someone already said you need to work on capacitor skills.
A lot of people seem to have great pirating success in a Taranis so maybe that would be a good thing to aim for. Train up navigation skills and T2 blasers and yarrrr away :)

Get a stack of cheap ass frigs. Remove pants. Cup balls. Have fun.
That's a bout it. Once you get the idea down, as to scanning, picking targets and you find out the CHEAP way what skills you need to improve as you go. I have seen much younger and less SP intensive pilots than you have a great time and succeed. |

Yes to beginning piracy in frigates, no to the Tristan if the almighty Rifter is available to you!
The Rifter is one of the better t1 frigates for solo work, it's quick, agile, has a good enough number of slots for you to dps/tackle/tank 'fairly well'. Also, with a MWD and ceptor-esque lows, it makes a fairly decent tackler for gang work.
I spent about 3-4 months pirating in rifters, refining my loadout after each encounter. Below is my tried and tested rifter loadout, one that has 'evolved' from use in combat:
[Drakk3n's pie-rifter] Highs: 3x 125mm AC IIs, 1x named small NOS Med: 1x 1mn MWD, 1x warp scram, 1x cap recharger I Lows: 1x SAR, 1xEANM, 1x 200mm reinforced rolled tungsten plate
A cheap and effective loadout for general piracy, the MWD allows you to get in range of your target fast, closing the distance between warp in point and target quickly. The NOS/SAR combo gives you a remarkably good tank for a t1 frig,. The T2 guns should be loaded with Barrage S, as Hail nerfs cap. Upgrade/downgrade modules as your skills/wallet allows.
Setup a rifter like the above, head into lowsec, and start hunting. Best of luck to you. o/ |
