Edited by: Eternum Praetorian on 21/08/2008 22:12:16 For the most part I think its my favorite looking BS ascetically speaking. Great Tank and DPS once you have a tone of skills, but I still hear that it is more or less, well, cap death . . .
They Have told me go Apocalypse if I desire to fly Ammar in PVE. I would like to hear some 411 from people who are actually (and have actually) flown these ships in missions.
Also if you are willing general Fittings and minimal Skill requirements (I know the SP is quiet a bit) that would make this ship and/or the Apocalypse effective . . .

Edited by: Matalino on 21/08/2008 22:18:58 I use one as DPS support for my Nighthalk.
Given that it is a gank support platform, I doubt my choice in fittings would help you much.

1. Images in posts to avoid sig limits = fail tbh 2. Ships/Modules is Thataway --->
As for the actual question, You need nigh on max cap skills for the abaddon, thanks to it's lack of a laser cap usage bonus. 3x CCC is essential if you want to run guns and a LAR tank. Basically, you want controlled bursts 5, Energy Management/Systems Op 5, and the cap usage skills for any other modules you fit at 4/5 (e.g. Electronic Warfare for webs, Afterburners/Fuel Conservation for afterburners etc.) Other than that, a t2 tank is VERY nice on an abaddon --- Sig Starts Here --- Lord Haur - Imperial Academy Logistical Support

Personally, I think the Abaddon looks more like an industrial or trade ship than a combat ship. I can even imagine it as a beer keg in space, which has in-turn illicited convos' concerning whether or not I should be able to move at an extraordinary rate when my ships hull gets damage, due to jetting fluids in space at high pressures.
I don't like the bannana, either.
Armageddon is a beautiful ship, though.
As far as USEFULLNESS is concerned, I've found the Abaddon to be unmatched in missions. As far as fitting requirements, my damage potential (using mega pulses), etc ... just an awesome mission ship.
Haven't fit an apoc in awhile, but looking at the sniper fits, I'm going to definitely one out if the situation demands it. +200km (I think I saw a 270km, but don't quote me on that) ... just awesome.
Armageddon is still my favorite. Drone bay and damage output at medium range is wonderful. Cheap to fit and fly, too. Seems perfect if it's a fleet ops and all I want to do is act as an extra hammer.

Maybe it's time you recognize that you don't really like to play EvE.

Beer keg? Abaddon is a typical Amarrian design. R*petrain (upper part) meets catholic church (lower part). Church windows have been replaced with lasers to spread the light of God. Abaddon is the scalpel of the Lord when he performs surgery.

Abaddon is the big man's fatty fingers as he munches on a taco.
