I got the idea from a previous thread and want to improve on it:
The ideas:
After the great wars the empires start to fall apart and the ones dominating in FW will get expanded and the losing one will lose systems and regions... So the caldari i believe are owning in FW and will most likly win the war so the caldari state will grow into gallente space and therefor they control more land... and the minmatar are dominating Amarr FW atm so they will get amarr stations and space for there own... Concord goes into lockdown and crimes could be commited in .6space with a %50 chance of concord coming to save ur sorry ass... Good Luck...
hope u like it...

I haven't messed with faction wars since shortly after release, but the caldari didn't seem to be winning, and the last time I passed through Tama there seemed to be alot of gallente...
And why is concord all of a sudden broken in .6 space? what about .5? A dark age is alot more dramatic than a weakened police presence... its a revision in the level of civilization... for instance if every system's security level was reduced by 0.20... now that would be symbolic of a dark age... (0.5 -> 0.3, 0.2->0.0) ç¦ |

I like this idea. Players should have a much greater influence on the political map of the game beyond soveriegnty. Making what once were safe areas more dangerous is a start. Perhaps CONCORD should be replaced by faction police only, and that controlling factioon can dictate the security levels of the systems they control depending on their infulence.
Great idea tho'. It would need some work. But we all need to be able to have an impact like this.

for the bolded part:

for the rest of it, yeah, i think that would be cool, they should do something that throws EVE into a huge depression for like 3 months or something, thus increasing violence and conflict over resources, and making larger and more advanced ships much more expensive so everyone is back down to cruisers again, ect, like start EVE from its beginnings, when apparently a cruiser was todays' battleship equivelant, and a battleship was like owning a Capital

Except it will not affect the 0.0 people in any way. So while the empire residents are crippled and fighting new and unknown threats for 0.0 it is bussiness as usual. And, since most bigger alliances are self-reliant in terms of materials, production and research, it will only mean that battle-hardened veterans from null-sec will be able to come to weakened empire in their typical BS and totaly wipe out weakened, cheap-ship bound people.
Doesn't sound like too much fun in my opinion.

I can see this coming, to be honest. All it needs is planet sov and hireable NPCs.

I think you are missing the point. It would depend on the faction standings of each individual player - so allainces with a mix would have problems entering said systems with low faction standings. It would also make roleplaying a bit more relevant as allainces or corps aligned with certain factions would enjoy either a monopoly on these systems of restrictions on access. I think that FW is great as it gives the players the option to take part in the whole back story behind the 4(5) different races re-inforcing EVEs premise.

ok... so 0.0... npc empire will spawn and attack random stations per day... so lets say GOONFLEET gets attack by a caldari npc raid group or watever... that station could be taken in its a conquerable station by anyone who wishes unless the all mighty sov 4 doesn't work and all stations and POSes are vounrable in a constellation capital

Not going to even come close to happening.
FW is 100% VOLUNTARY, remember? CCP isn't going to destroy their revenues by screwing up their non-participating customers. Think of what would happen to Hello Kitty Online if it suddenly became 100% PvP, same thing would happen to Eve if HighSec wasn't semi-safe anymore. -------------------------------------------------

Not it isn't, people should be encouraged to get out in low sec space, but never forced to do so.

.5-.6 aren't really hi sec... they should be that way... barly patrolled and the risk if it expands the new options for all people in eve...

Caldari winning? Gallente conquered 5+ systems the last few weeks, caldari are at the losing end.

.5 and .6 are FULLY HighSec with all the protections afforded and none of the benefits of lowsec/0.0, there is functionally no difference between a .5 and a .7 system.
I would say that .4 really isn't lowsec; you can't moon mine there, need charters for a POS, etc. So add random Concord spawns there and you can have your idea. Leave current HighSec alone. -------------------------------------------------
