Feature Request: Access to FW Killmails
Problem: For creating a Killboard which covers faction warfare you currently have no way of importing killmails of NPC Corps like the Federal Defense Union. While pc corps can simply be asked to give such API key if they want to be listed, asking all pilots who fly in a npc corp is a bit problematic, also even if you do it it will cause more problems, like that you'd have to check a few thousand api keys on a quite regular basis. Solution Suggestions
(1) - the cool solution Cool would be some key for each faction which would give all killmails by pilots of this faction, allowing that would make querying for those very simple, and not much needed to be changed to existing (killboard) applications.
(2) - another cool solution an RSS Feed for all factions which allows to get the killmails of that faction (3) - the (probably simple) quick solution it might be the most simple way to simply add ccp controlled ceo characters for the npc corps and simply give away their API key, this should allow to get the mails of at least the npc corps without needing much implementation work (i assume).

We're discussing this at the moment, but more because a feature of this kind raises some issues of privacy. This is a problem which is in its infancy as far as the API goes, but I think it might become more problematic the more data exports we add to the system. A pilot or CEO needs to be able to opt out of such data exports. Which then raises the issue of how do we notify all pilots that their data is part of such a wide-reaching data export? How can we make sure all pilots affected by this data export are notified of changes so they can decide whether to remain or opt out? Some people may scoff at the notions of privacy in an MMO but we would not be acting responsibly if we did not consider this.

Send everyone a CONCORD mail telling them to opt out if they don't want to have the data publicly available.
Or - a worse solution (as many people wouldn't bother) - make it opt-in only.

For the last, you may simply ask players for their keys. Same result. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

with the diffrence of you having todo 1 request for each corp OR a few thousand requests, one for each player...
