Good try, but any change in suicide ganking is irrelevant. They operate in low sec.

The reality of the situation is CCP has very few options here. They can't simply totally nerf hauling missions, because people run these legitimately and they can't blanket ban people they see in local either.
An investigation would have to involve checking out each individual character, and with over 200 in Ingunn at any one time... you do the math as to the resources it would involve.
Datamining for activity in excess on 20 hours per day (activity, not logged on) per account should be easy.
You can then ban them for account sharing, no need to prove macroing, one can play 20 hours a day maybe two or three days straight, months at it is just not biologically possible, meth kills you eventually. -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

are we clear, morons?
great.
the things they're not allowed to do are: sell isk for real life money, and use macros. so unless you have PROOF (note "PROOF" and not "very reasonable belief") then frankly just gfy and stop posting.
Account sharing is also forbidden by EULA, and they "play" way too long to possibly be a single person. -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

You guys are *completely* missing the opportunity.
What you do is cloak up in Ingunn, watch for macroish behaviour and start filling out petitions.
Simply by following CCPs rules, you could probably force them to respond the to problem with greater vigour.

And get banned because of spamming petitions?
Fact is that every MMO is suffering from similar fate and all of them are failing to eradicate it or even being able to slow it down. And in this case there is plenty of opportunity of blowing up haulers in low sec. If that's your game I'd say go for it and have fun. |

I'm almost tempted to create an alt for the sole purpose of camping that gate, but since I have only one account... aaah, if only it was a 0.0 gate with no security loss. I'd be all over it!

The system is ENTIRELY comprised of chinese macro haulers. 100+ in local most of the time. If you watched for macroish behavior in ingunn, you would be doing it for the rest of EVE's life.
CCP already knows, they could get rid of 99% of farmers for good with a flick of the wrist, they choose to take their money.

Why? Screw maintaining sec status, all it does it make the game boring. there is no good reason to go into high sec unless you think level 4 missions are a lot of fun.

No, there are other farmers that operate in high sec. There are also farmer killers that suicide gank them.

I created a Drake alt able to tank sentries long enough to pop one or two haulers in 9 days of training (on this account). Maybe you can spare that much.
It can get expensive fast otoh, once you turn outlaw everyone will be after you. Lost last drake to a famed "raven spawn", that made short work of my 1.2 millions sps and low end named fittings.
Also I get to enjoy the Caldari Provision chat while on that alt -- I'm done whining about AFs, it looks like they are making them right \o/ |

Easiest way to fix the macrohauler scourge would be to make T1 haulers drop half-decent salvage, equivalent to say half their base value. Then you really could farm them profitably.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

Make their mission loot valuable too, right now the only money you make from them is when one fitted t2 cargo expanders.
Their unique items should be repackageable and of some value.
