'Sup folks!
Just ordered one of these babies, and just wanted to check if any of you had one, what you think of it, and could recommend any good apps/themes/stuff for it.

Edited by: Ryysa on 02/09/2008 05:38:18 Apps are easy. It is a WinMo phone, so there is everything that you might or might not need.
I was thinking of a i900 Omnia or a HTC Diamond... Omnia has the better battery life, and bigger screen, however HTC Diamond has a lot better screen resolution and "prettier" UI...
Let us know how it works out for you.
Just some notes for apps: Skype, TomTom - Both are pretty much mandatory if you have a WinMo phone. Opera Mobile 9 comes with the device iirc. |

Okay, here's a little update (or more accurately- a cry for help)
So - I got my device up and running just fine, and it's a really slick piece of engineering I must say. Got most of the apps I wanted to work - but when I got around to install somekind of GPS software I hit a snag.
So far I've gotten TomTom to work, but not well. It needs a port-splitter since it can't handle the direct output from the MSM6580 chip - and this in my book unacceptable.
Tried Garmin XT (which supposedely should work without splitters and stuff) but that simply won't work at all. A GPS software that can't find satelites isn't that useful.
So, now I turn to you. Anyone have an Omnia? Anyone got any decent GPS software working (preferably without portsplitters and other software)? Any other recomendations?
Heard some good stuff about iGo, but don't know if it will work with the omnia...

Just an update - downloaded iGo8 and installed it on the omnia. Works like a effing charm (but only in landscape-mode)
If anyone have similar problems, just get iGo... It's pure awesomeness!
