Your caught in your domi by a lone Navy Caracal scramming you at 24K so he is out of neut range but you have 10 Warrior 2 Drones or 5 ECM drones. Which option would give you the best chance of escaping his scram so you can warp. You don't want to hang around and fight as your certain his mates are not far behind.
This scenario has happened to one of my pals but sadly he had neither warrior 2 or ECM drones but he will from now on!
How does the Domi escape-one for the evil PVP veterans I think

He did have lots of drones including Ogre 2 (too slow) Hammerhead 2 (still too slow) Warden 2 (would not hit) as it was basically a PVE fit. All these drones appeared to be useless against the caracal-it was probably a nano fit.

As a matter of interest what is the maximum range you can be scrammed at & what is your maximum neut counter range? (I can assume overheating if applicable)

Edited by: Annowyn on 04/09/2008 11:26:24 Max scram range would be something like a sensor booster stiletto with a domination warp disruptor at 37.5k. Pilot would need interceptor skill to 5.
Not sure on the neut range.
EDIT: You are very unlikely to run into one of these.

Arazu... lachesis... Arguably my opinions represent to an extent the opinions of my alliance and in particular circumstances give rise to a valid "casus belli" claim. |

Usually max scram range is 24km for unbonused ships like a Navy Caracal for example. Meaning: fit 500W heavy neuts or better (range 24+ km) to drain their entire cap in 1 cycle and drop 5 Garde T2. They will kill him within seconds if he is in a nano-fit. He probably wont be able to click warp fast enough.

Yeah, its possible with overloading that their scram range is further than t2 neut range. However it wont be able to overload for ever and will have a nightmare of a time staying further than 25km and less then his max scram range.
Also, drop sentry drones and fly at a station or something. If he looses point for a single second, you can warp, or once you are about 40km from your sentry drones, they will (probably) start being able to hit him.

This is giving me bad memories of the time I almost lost a domi to a claw.
Having just acolyte 1's on hand and hitting something with 80% em resist = don't even bother. I somehow left with 50% structure, thankfully... btw it wasn't a terrible fit, it was the rats doing the majority of the damage, and a looong time ago. *still remembers the pilot*
That horror story out of the way, I'd try... ecm drones while aligned out, the moment one hopefully jams you pound the warp button asap, bout all you can do in the situation of just warriors or ecm drones only.
sure there's other options like neut/ewar/etc but yeah.

Have MWD of yourself and remember that he can't constantly MWD, he doesn't have the cap for it, even with a cap injector - nano-caracal cargo bay is silly small. Either burst mwd to break his tackle, or burst mwd to get him into overload webb range.

24km warp disruptor x 1.388 from claymore maxed x 1.25 from interceptors 5 x 1.2 from overload = 49.96 km 30km warp disruptor x 1.388 x 1.25 x 1.2 = 62.46 km
Limiting factor here is obviously locking range. --- I smack just for myself.

Fit best-named heavy neuts with 25Km range. less than a mill each btw.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |
