Odd.
So would I.
To the best of my understanding, Mordu's Legion has a reputation for being an honorable ... and yes, ruthless ... organization that prefers to handle its business arrangements itself, without resorting to bringing in outsiders.
Then again, to the best of my understanding, the Legion has yet to make an official declaration about its involvement in the current proxied war between the Federation and the State.
Hmm. That is interesting, is it not? Either I have managed to miss a memo -- granted, entirely feasible, all things considered -- or the leadership of Human Enhancement Technologies has decided to represent the Legion independent of official sanction.
I would find the latter case ... meh, I shall say 'disturbing' for it is as good a word as any. It could suggest dissent within the Legion's ranks just as easily as it could suggest a change of policy for the Legion's leadership.
I welcome any attempts to enlighten me on the subject. I am almost certain that others monitoring this thread may appreciate your efforts. ------------------------- Humanist. Meritocrat. Devil's Advo ... er, never mind. |

Simple and logical: Capsuleers are members of Para-Military Organizations supporting an ideology , government or whatever else. They are called Loyalists to their main factions.
Your assumptions are so lacking as declaring that PIE as Amarr loyalists are the Empire itself. You should have learned this, by the time you are a capsuleer, at space and interacting in this universe.
It's as simple as 1+1

According to war statistics and Caldari State I'm doing my duty very well. And your advice is as old as this universe itself when coming from the counter part involved. You will need to be more convincing.

There is surprise that the State's member corporations would utilize mercenaries?
Mercenary forces are what formed the initial core of the Caldari Navy to begin with, the megacorporations' security arms didn't exist until after the previous cease fire.
Since the State itself and therefore the megacorporate security forces are barred from actively engaging in the conflict, hiring experienced mercenaries to assist a largely green militia makes sense.

As a side note, I'm sure that if the Faction Mordus Legion decides to join officialy the war , their officers will do their own announcements.
Perhaps you are right. While I can certainly tell the difference between 'hot pink', 'burgundy' and several other shades of red, I imagine there might be some things I need to learn about mathematics.
On similar note, you may benefit from considering other examples. From my occasional conversations with members of PIE, after factoring out the required exchange of niceties regarding my parentage, proper place in the universe and potential terrorist inclinations, I gather that they do uphold Imperial policies. At no point have I understood them to do otherwise, or even do while protesting political circumstances within the Empire.
I imagine should the Empress decide that Amarr have no more truck with fighting their war with the Republic, they will comply.
If the faction that you are loyal to ultimately decides that they want nothing to do with supporting the current State regime via proxy war, would you and yours stand down?
Oh! The previous question is hypothetical. In case you are not acquainted with such, hypothetical questions are often used to illustrate points. They do not necessarily require answers. Nothing insulting is meant by that assumption, of course: it is merely my considering potential gaps in your cultural education, based on analysis of your previous public statements.
If you are curious, I already suspect the answer would be 'no'.
Originally by: Dex Nederland There is surprise that the State's member corporations would utilize mercenaries?
Not at all. I was discussing Mordu's Legion itself.
I believed they would not need the assistance and certainly would not compromise their own reputation by employing it, but apparently their loyalist corporations have other operating procedures.
It has been a rather educational discussion. ------------------------- Humanist. Meritocrat. Devil's Advo ... er, never mind. |

Upholding Policies means just that. Upholding Policies. Following your example, Mordus Legion uphold the policy to keep their connections with the State. I will uphold this policy.
Originally by: Vieve Tisserand I imagine should the Empress decide that Amarr have no more truck with fighting their war with the Republic, they will comply.
Imagination is non solid assumptions. Only the corporate in question can answer if this would be the case or not. Amarr Empire has a theological government, we don't.
Originally by: Vieve Tisserand If the faction that you are loyal to ultimately decides that they want nothing to do with supporting the current State regime via proxy war, would you and yours stand down?
Mordus Legion Faction already have stated that they will be directly involved if need be. This per se is a statement of support to the war and Tibus Heth Decision. As the war goes with the current scenario I doubt that we'll need directly involvement from said faction. We, capsuleers loyalists are handling the state of affairs very well.
Originally by: Vieve Tisserand Oh! The previous question is hypothetical. In case you are not acquainted with such, hypothetical questions are often used to illustrate points.
I'm acquainted with such, humans relays a lot on their imagination and hypothetical situations to paint the universe in different colours.

No question ever require answers. People have the right to ask as people have the right to answer or not.
Originally by: Vieve Tisserand Nothing insulting is meant by that assumption
To insult and feel insulted is another of many pilots emotional disfunction attributes. You have nothing to worry about in this regard, I'll answer questions that I find interesting, educative or pertinent to the subjects on my protocols and erase further futile words. Any sort of waste will be discarded.

You know, SOFcode Z777 or whatever, for a man who's supposed to be infinetely better than me, you sure did make a lot of my old mistakes - you know, announcing wars before they're active, allowing us time to prepare and gather intelligence, letting us know exactly who to go after when we're finished with the mercs, walking around with a head that has problems fitting through hangar doors... and you've made mistakes that even I wasn't stupid enough to make, such as announcing all your targets, meaning that I know who else will be having run-ins with the same people.
But, you know, don't let the hard lessons I learnt stop you from making my job easier. Go right ahead being as arrogant as I used to be, I'm sure you won't end up facing exactly the same problems as me, because you're obviously of vastly superior intelligence and military strength, what with all this hiring of mercenaries and such.
As for Trinity Nova, no hard feelings, eh? It's not your fault you were hired by an imbecile. I have high hopes that you'll be people I can respect as enemies - unlike sir SOFcode here. -----

This time I hope that the gallente Militia stands with same attitude at space matching the vocal arrogance. Every single corp that gets war decced do exactly the same, vocal arrogance, silence, and after continuous disruption of their operations and heavy loses, the realization that they have spooken too soon.
I rather preffer those corps less vocal in their starting statements. they have proven more reliable for long term wars and more challeging to specialized mercenary forces.
Corporations seen to brag on forums about sucessful operation of killing lonesome caracals that still operates in more speed that they can ever think to disrupt, are to be of course expected to act as such.
I look forward to next month statistics of war.

Blue pill. Narcotic. Caldari State: standing loss 0.15, confiscation in sec = 0.40, fine 300.00% of estimated market value.
Answer: Illegal substance. Proposal not accepted. Yet another Federation capsuleer entity openly supporting criminal activities.

You will get a name for yourself with results of after war not previous. And a good fighting corporation would be able to match and counter any sort of fleet, be that of drakes or not.
