Hello Faramir,
Small question now you receive 5 BPC's (i don't understand because the race that wins will gain, gallente did not win)
Will you "donate" your cloacking device to the ones who donated parts?
I don't think so, so big will be bigger again and all small guys who hoped for something good are 'fubar' again like in all previous events.
No fun for today! maybe better tommorow |

As we have said many times before, not everyone can get a cloaking device. But it all depends on the number of runs we get per BPC.
I and some with me have taken a lot of time to get the donations together and even spent some of our own money to collect these batches. The only reward we promised people when they donated was the reward the Jove would give to the entire race if we won. People accepted this and donated. Some even without the promise of any reward.
When runs are sufficient I will hand out cloaking devices to the biggest donaters and people that helped the collection the most.
And about small and big.... You can be as big and small as you want to. I mostly spent time on this and so could many have done.
Please don't ask for something you shouldn't be getting if you only donated a (few) piece(s).

Well the Caldaris valued every donator, regardless of contribution size as they all had a hand in helping us to win.
So all donators will get something, and everyone regardless of size of donation has the chance to win a cloaking bpc.
Perhaps that is why we won, the Council have always stated that everyone will get something not just the big donators.
In fact alot of the big donators are withdrawing from there chance to win the bpcs to let the smaller people have a chance.

I think its very un-Caldari to give away stuff or make promises before you had all the facts. What if you only get alimited about of BPC and you cant give something to all who donated?
This is not a hijack

The ETC did not gain donations as such, though they were simplified to that. Each "donator" is in fact giving the ETC council his piece to sell via proxy. Thus, he will get a reward equal to his contribution including isk and parts. Larger donators will of course recieve more. The majority, if not all of the BPc's will be (afaik) auctioned off to the highest Caldari State approved bidder to gain valuable isk which will also be shared out pro-rata to all the many Caldari pilot and corporate contributors.
No one is giving away anything and the ETC knew as we set out that we could have promised the BPc's as surely the combined efficient might of the Caldari people would triumph.
(( was bloody close though. ))

I'd say let Faramir have it and do what he pleases with it. There is no doubt he invested a lot more time and energy on this than anyone else. And I mean a lot.
As a race, we tried. We failed, but it never was a certain success to start with. We all knew that.

Very true and like your President Foiritan it is best to admit failure than compain about what happened and what might have been, and thus move on.

Especially the Caldari people as they knew they alone were certain to win.

Pilot Faramir of Evolution has acted with honour through all presceedings from start to finish and I wish him well with his rewards. He deserves them for his work both in his ship and on gal-net - what he chooses to do with them is his own matter.

There were no certainties. Our Corp had enough for two batches. We sold one to the Caldari and one to the Gallente. We were just short a third batch. If we had another day collecting there would have been a third. If we had sold all three batches to the Gallente what difference would that make. If another mixed race corp did the same would the Caldari have won.
The people who bothered to collect the parts edged their bets and chose who won. Yes we are a large corp but we only had around 12 people collecting so it wasn't difficult to get a batch together.

(( I was RPing personally, of course it could have gone either way. Actually, i half expected the Gallenete to win as they had a very good collection effort and had ~ a 30% racial bonus on us for batch size. *shrugs* ))
Well Valan, possibly you should have ensured your corporation collection was handed over to the Caldari for all of the batches. After all, everyone know that the Caldari already had a good relationship with the Jove and were most likely to gain a better reward for completed batches. It seems you were just hedging your bets to try and curry favour with whoever won. Not nessicarily a bad thing for a multiracial corporation, but considering you publisice the fact, not good either.

Any chance of donating a BPC to DUI as a race prize? ---------------------

There is no need to reward me for my donation (very small in fact). Faramir spent time doing this, he gets a nice reward so well done.
I spent my time on something else and get other rewards. He gets a BPC he is free to do whatever he wants with it. You guys donated, you didn't establish a contract with Faramir, not even a moral contract. So don't expect anything in return.
Collecting the parts takes time and money, you could have do the same if you are unhappy about it.
The caldaris did an awesome job at collecting the parts I am glad we were so close to them^^. Thank you Faramir.

As I said in other thread, I haven't donated my parts to anybody to gain on my cost (30 parts). I juts went to commisioner and donated FOR FREE to help our race. Yes, any literate person could get this from day before collection news.
What is surprising is that somebody still has many parts in his cargo hold? Why didn't you donate to commisioner to help the cause (this way nobody would prey on you).

I gave my corp parts to Faramir, but considered the time and efforts I have put into that I don't ask for any reward. Shame on those who want it all with no efforts. --------------------------------

Faramir put in a phenomenal amount of effort to collect all the parts he did, as anyone in the Gallente channel at the time can testify.
It's because of individuals like him that our race pushed the Caldari all the way.
Let him decide what to do with his prize and enjoy it as he sees fit. He has earned it.
