What should I fit on a Cerberus to get a locking range in excess of 150K?
My skills at present allow me to lock at 92K. Maxing long range targeting will give me a bit more but it is still way short of what I would like.

Wow usually take a couple of post to get a reaction like that. Good work Mr dexx
To the op, i feel calling you're self a cerb pilot is very premature if not know about scripts for range etc, just cause you can sit in one this severe lack of knowledge proves you really should take it out the hanger........ EVER !

Lets be quite clear on something. The reaction you get from me is not unexpected. The majority of people on this forum give informed answers but you always get one or two who like to ram there superiority down your throat.
I asked a simple question-I got answers which are patronising. What makes you think you are a better pilot than me or anybody else-does anybody care what you think about me or yourself. So shove your opinions back up your backside where they belong.

If you're going to fly off the handle at answers that you don't like, then you could at least post a reply to ones which do give you an answer.

You got a patronising answer because the way you asked the question showed very little understanding or thought.
If you had asked this question in New User Q&A, you would have gotten a less patronising response because the expectation is that you are new.
However, in these other forums there is an expected level of basic knowledge. That includes a knowledge of the existance of Sensor Boosters.
The Cerberus is a reasonably advanced ship class, so one would expect someone claiming to be a Cerberus pilot would have atleast a basic understanding of available modules.
Had you asked for alterantives to Sensor Boosters, you would likely have avoided a patronising response because you would have shown that you have atleast a basic understanding of what you are asking about.
BTW - alterantives to Sensor Boosters include Signal Amplifiers and Ionic Field Projectors.

A lot of you whine about noob pilots, but when they ask for advice you troll them.
As far as I know, sensor boosters and signal amplifiers are your only real option. You might be able to get someone else to use remote sensor boosters on you if you really need the mid slots.

Agree to a point about noob pilots getting trolled BUT he asked a question specifically about an advanced ship, a T2 cruiser, if he asked the question about a ship he more suited flying namely a cruiser or possably a bc no doubt that would of got a flame-free reply.

More suitable?
I have BC5, BS5, Cruiser 5, HAC4. I fly loads of different ships but I'm new to modules that boost range. Is that a criminal offence in the Eve world?
You really do need to get off your pedestal & come down to earth. There are probably dozens of modules which you know nothing about. Don't ask the wrong question or you could get back what you are dishing out.

Right so you fly ravens drakes and now cerbs so why donĘt you know about mods that affect the range of your lock? As you seem to be a well spec Caldari Player and what do caldari do? Range and ECM so again why donĘt you know? I am on one because I do take the time to look at things but people like you jump in your? Going to jump in here...
You comment about a Drake/Raven pilot asking about range-enhancing modules. Well, let's see - Sensor boosters are midslot items, sensor amplifiers are lowslot.
Your typical missioning Drake setup:
HIGHS: 7x HML/HAM
MIDS:
2xLSE 1xSR 3xhardener *OR* 2x hardener 1xAB
LOWS:
2xSPR 2xBCU.
See ANY room on there for a sensor booster, or even a signal amplifier? Anywhere?
It's a legit question, if he's getting into a Cerb from a missioning background, and hasn't had to fit range enhancers before. Give him a break.

Bullcarp from elitist idiots who have no understanding of people aside, here's what you need:
1) First, get Long Range Targeting up to 5. 2) Fit a sensor booster with a range script, or two. Get the required skill up to at least IV for best effectiveness. Use a range script. 3) Make sure Missile Projection and Missile Bombardment are up to snuff, too - so your missiles can actually travel that distance. 4) Fit other boosters and/or amplifiers as needed. Remember that you are sacrificing tank for range - enough range and enough damage, of course - you won't need much tank.
Remember also - doing this is a gang PvP fit, with others to keep the short-range stuff off of you. Solo PvP - more tank and fit short-range stuff, as your enemy will be at short range. PvE - you don't need 150K targeting, your standard 90+K should be good enough. No comments about using a Cerb for missioning :)

As mentioned before, assuming you've already max'd your long range targeting skills, etc., you will need to use a Sensor Booster mid-slot module with an ARM script that affects targeting range. These were introduced with Trinity... see excerpt from Dev blog below:
"Attribute Reassignment Modifier (ARM) Scripts are non-consumable charges that modify the attributes of modules they are installed in. They are installed or uninstalled just like loading and unloading ammo. The modules that can be scripted are listed below followed by the script names in brackets.
Sensor boosters (Targeting Range and Scan Resolution) Remote sensor boosters (uses the same ARM scripts as sensor boosters) Remote sensor dampeners (Targeting Range Dampening and Scan Resolution Dampening) Tracking computers (Optimal Range and Tracking Speed) Tracking links (uses the same ARM scripts as tracking computers) Tracking disruptors (Optimal Range Disruption and Tracking Speed Disruption) Warp Disruption Field Generators (Focused Warp Disruption)
Scriptable modules have also been modified to accommodate the ARM scripts. For instance, a Sensor Booster II now has a 30% bonus to targeting range and a 30% bonus to scan resolution. The sensor booster can still be used without any ARM scripts, but with reduced effectiveness compared to the 60% bonuses it had before. The ARM scripts can then be used to boost one bonus at the expense of the other. For instance, the Targeting Range ARM script gives a 100% bonus to the targeting range bonus of the sensor booster and a 100% reduction in the scan resolution bonus in the module it's installed in. This means that a Sensor Booster II with a Targeting Range ARM script gives a 60% bonus to targeting range, but without any bonus to scan resolution. In other words, in order to get the maximum benefit from the sensor booster one has to choose between boosting either targeting range or scan resolution. This applies to all the scriptable modules in general (except for the Warp Disruption Field Generator): one can get the same effect as before, but one has to choose between the two bonuses."

You could not be more wrong about my Characters if you tried. They were all trained from scratch. One flys battleships the other flys missile boats & they all generate there income from PVE. Our corp has recently moved to nullsec so there is a requirement to sharpen my knowledge closer to PVP fits not PVE. Hence the lack of knowledge.
One of my characters is a Dominix PVE pilot, trained by me-not bought or borrowed. He has BS5, DI5, & 5 million skill points in drones. I think I know the dominix & cerb well enough to say up yours to your post. I have always said that if it becomes a crime to ask a question on the forum then it is time to leave & find answers elsewhere because I'm damn sure there must be better places to get answers.

Unless you've practiced PvP, everything you've learned from PvE is wrong. Period.
He'll wipe the walls with you, easily - unless you've practiced and played PvP. It's a whole different ballgame when you can't predict what the enemy will do.
And the only thing you've mentioned so far is PvE. Tsk.

Wrong again. I'm learning my PVP in a fleet from a master & the guy is very good. I dont fly alone & listen to the instructions & intel from my FC-only stupid pilots fly in 0.0 alone or without intel on the current status of the sector. So we will be ready for you-be careful WE are not picking up your corpse.

Long range targeting is the skill you are looking for, however cerb does not get lock range of 150 km without any lock range boosting modules. If you want 150 km you will need some module also to boost that lock range.
