Starting this morning, whenever I try to log on to the game, the game quits to the desktop as soon as I get into the station view (maybe 5 seconds of seeing my ship and the chat list window beginning to fill). This is only from my iMac not on my MacBook Pro. The MBP has no such troubles and I played on both of these machines just yesterday!
Any ideas?
TIA

Delete your cache folder. Uncheck "Load Station Environment" in the esc menu preferences (after you logged in, but before you load your character).
See if the above fix it.

Same problem here. Works, well to the point it works on a MacBook (not pro) but will not even load on the iMac. Tried the below without success. Any suggestions or fixes?

I had gotten it to run for a few days after repairing permissions and running daily monthly and weekly scripts. Now this afternoon getting the same problem. MBP still error free. I would add that this seems to be a problem on the iMac only after playing on the MBP.
Help.

My iMac is working again. This is what I did:
1) Emptied the cache after starting Eve before loading char. You will get a warning that says you will lose all your bookmarks when you empty. Fortunately, all I lost was the pictures of other chars. Unfortunately, it did nothing to solve the problem. 2) Checked for any new updates from Apple. There were and downloaded them, however, I did not see anything in there that would relate to the problem, at least not directly. 3) At the end of download the iMac had to shutdown and restart. This is where it seems to be different than my MacBook in that just hitting the on/ off switch on an iMac seems to put it in sleep mode not a full restart.
My guess is that a full restart is what kicked it out of its loop. If (when) the problem reoccurs will experiment a bit more.

I've got this too. Here's part of the console log.

My dear Mac brethren, I know that you may not hear or think to do this too often on our sturdy little operating system but...
JUST RESTART

Yup, restart, I know its an obscenity, or re-login to your user account will work. Also I can confirm that lowering the cache size to low or none under ESC when you have EVE running, will lower the errors coming from this ill put together 'wrapper'.
