Ok before everyone starts jumping up and down about Eve being unsharded and will always be like that, this idea will not make Eve sharded. Create and setup a complete new unique galaxy on it's own server. When you log in, the login server determines which Galaxy your selected character is in and connects you to that server. In Tranquility a small new region is created, no asteroid belts,no stations, not owned by any one Faction but lightly protected by Concord. This region will be placed where it can be accessed from any Faction and a few links leading in from Nullsec. You can travel through this region regardless of your security or faction standing but just no unsanctioned Pew Pew or you get stepped on. One system in this region contains a newly discovered wormhole. The other end of the wormhole is in the new galaxy. In a similar small region lightly protected by Concord. When you travel through the wormhole in either direction you get logged out of one server and logged into the other. The character database will have to be accessible to both servers. In the beginning the new galaxy is currently inhabited by its own races who naturally wont be too thrilled by our sudden presence. Our current Government factions have established a small presence in the new Galaxy and have setup a few stations for mission agents to coodinate activities from. Any players wishing to PvE can take new missions from these agents which will involve and result in pushing back the current Inhabitants of the new galaxy. The more missions that are successful the more secure space is established there. The security ratings on the systems will constantly change as the claimed Hisec space expands. For the PvP players there is initially an entire galaxy of 0.0 space to carve your own little empire in. You will have to engage in a decent amount of PvE to claim the territory from the current NPC Inhabitants but once thats done and you claim Sovereignty its then back to PvP to stop other Alliances/Corps taking your patch of space.
You can move any ship or character back and forth through the wormhole. Jumpclones cannot travel from one galaxy to the other but can still travel within each galaxy if you have jumpclones setup there.

An entire new galaxy would give twice the sandbox to go pew pew in and also opens the possibility of new races, ships, NPC to PvE against.

This post was a waste of your time m8. Your asking ccp to double there server array (already the largest in the gaming industry). All that would be accomplished is doubling the size of the eve universe. I do like the idea of adding more space within eve but at the scale your asking for it just wont ever happen.

"Create and setup a complete new unique galaxy on it's own server."
This is a really terrible idea. The EVE galaxy is not nearly crowded enough to make this necessary, likely, or attractive. It would just spread the players even more and would mean that there would be a lot of systems were you would rarely ever meet another player. That is the epitome of boring.
It would also be terribly inconsistent.
Apparently, it took a few THOUSAND years for a SINGLE wormhole to appear in the milky way AND in the EVE galaxy. Then it took another few thousand years without anything similar happening again. How likely is it really that another wormhole would appear and link to... well... anything? Surely a wormhole leading into deep space would be fun. "Hey, what is this?" "Nothing, my son. Endless nothing. Now... do you play cards? We got a lot of time."
If there ever should be a new galaxy within the EVE game, I bet it will be the milky way, linked back through the EVE gate and I bet it would be a massive invasion. An invasion into EVE, that is. After all, according to the background story, there is a totally overpopulated and militarized milky way just waiting for any chance of expansion. One with not a few hundred thousand pod pilots. One with billions. Fear the Terran forces, because when they come, they will likely not come in peace.

- make a wormhole (stargate) that leads to a region far far far away from New Eden - make the wormhole only usable once a month (like clonejump once a day) - No Accounts below 5mil should use this gate, for the simple reason that ppl would ship in stuff like mad with newly created chars. Or just create a skill like "wormhole navigation" that takes at least 1 month to get. - No Clonejumping between both "galaxies" - One respawn medical bay on each side (no podding to the other galaxy)
Funny would be if the new galaxy wouldn't have any gates at first. Player would have to scan down gate anchor points and then build them themselves.
the point would be to build up a whole new civilisation in a yet uncivilized region.
I just wonder where the rats would come from :/

Could be done within the EVE galaxy itself. After all, it is completely unlikely (or rather impossible) that all accessible EVE systems are all there is. When I look around my ship in EVE, I see all these stars. More than 99% of them are not linked to any jumpgates.
So instead of a new galaxy, CCP could (and probably should!) add the option to truly discover new systems and in addition to discovery build jumpgates to connect them to the rest of the galaxy. Player owned jumpgates would add a new twist and it would offer immense options for explorer characters.
Would likely require skills like:
Astrophysics Stellar Triangulation Deep Space exploration and so on
Endless possibilities. And no need for another galaxy.

you do know that by adding a new region would fix this problem. Less hassle for CCP and very easily done by them. They just have to invent a stupid little story about finding a gate and they activated it by mistake or something....thats it. high sec or low sec ? well that depends on the story and such but no need to do a second server. Theres already 2 that we can access already...but yes, the other one is for testing purpose, I know

Because a new region harbors a new alliance, sucking the t*t of nature, growing larger...
And hopping on antoher naptrain bandwagon that has half of EVE converging in one system.
Yes, I'm all in for a second server. COAD is ruined anyway, trolls have destroyed every little bit of sympathy I have for the stories of what happened to an alliance two regions away. These days, I'd rather have a playable EVE. ---

you make no sense. you want a new 0.0 region with concord to prevent unsanctioned pew pew, but you want people to battle over the space with large scale alliances (like normal 0.0) for sovrienty(like normal 0.0). that contradicts its self mechanically. also you want it to have 1 way in, bad idea as just like was mentioned about goon swarm, it will happen just like that. although you also want agents in here to develop sovrienty? so BoB and Goon will now have their player giving out missions to others lol? or will concord be giving out missions to make the sovriengty change to the owner of the missions sov? also you want that to make the place safer and into high sec, so it will be a space owned by BoB / Goon/ insert major alliance that there ceos give out missions and its a high sec there byu no pew pew by others wanting to take the space? wtf NO. you havent played the game long have you, or your idea would make little to no sense to you.
lets make a road sign that says stop. but after you stop so many times it means go, but it doesnt really. just admit it you came from wow and are trying to impose your antisocial ways of a sharded game on the great and powerful community of eve so that you can feel like the older players and not feel like an alone noob who doesnt understand the rules of this new game because its new to all. MWHAHA I IZ MASTERZ OF SIGHCALLOGZ AND HAS DISCOVERED YER NOT SO MASTERFULZ PLAN!
