I have searched and search but I do not seem to be able to find a list of bannable offences... Does anyone know where it may be found? Or does no such list exist?
If not, just how are people to know what they are then if no concise list is maintained? ______________

Anything that exploits the games mechanics is a bannable offense. ----------------------------

Act like you are over the age of 15 and you should be fine. People that ask such questions should be banned because you just know they are up to something that even they think is wrong, but just wanna check to make sure that they are not going to get banned for it.

I realize the, but that can also be subjective at times depending on who is handling the situation. But what I'm asking is if ther is a list of recognised offences listed anywhere. ______________

Giving out a list of bannable offences might not be smart, then some players might think that things that are not on the list might be safe to do without any worries about a ban.
If you think it might get you banned then send a petition or simply do not do it.

Game Policies would be a good place to look. If you are looking for something specific and can not find it in that section of our website feel free to file a petition.

These usually come in the form of a UELA, and UELA's can be seen on pretty much every game.
Just like laws that are written each year, bannable offenses work in the same way. Somebody at some point finds a mechanic in the game that can be fixed or broken. Once fixed the bannable offense may be stated in a dev blog. Hence the list is ever changing.

OK.. perhaps people can then help answer this question...
Would it be a bannable offence to say for example, join a corp who is at war during a fight AFTER you have put yourself into possition to attack an enemy ship? ______________

1. Threatening a person out of game will get you banned. 2. Ignoring a CCP cease and desist order will get you Corp banned. 3. Exposing a corrupt Dev will get you, any of your Family members and your dog permabanned.

Is there a list of "Exploits" that are bannable? There does not appear to be suach a list noted in the link you provided. ______________

Keep in ind, this person joining the Corp has already left said corp once, to avoid our Corp from hitting him.
EDIT: And yes, this is the situation as it stands... I just would like a foot to stand on before having any petition escallated if needed. ______________

You can only join a corporation while you are docked, that is, the director cannot accept your application while you are in space. Unless it has changed.
If it has changed then what you are suggesting would be an exploit.

It's been announced to be an exploit. I would imagine a warning would be the VERY least result, and possibly a ban, temp or permanent depending on whether the GM had coffee and how egregious the offense was.
Exploits bad.

As I understand it, yes. Anything that combines "instant" and "war target" is 'probably' an exploit. Petition to find out for sure.

They are completely random. You may be doing something you've been doing for months/years and suddenly... *pfft* you're banned. Or some CCP volunteer or gods-forbid employee gets a wild hair up their ass and suddenly *pfft* you're banned.
And the icing on the cake is that you won't be warned, you won't be told why, and you won't have any recourse to get the situation cleared up so you know what you did wrong in the first place.
And it's not objectively balanced.
Report a guy for using f**k on the forums, beating the word usage filters, and he doesn't get banned. But do some other small thing that's never been faulted in the past, or at the least gets warned, and *pfft* you're banned. No word, no recourse.

Anything that exploits the game mechanics will go on for months before CCP goes 'oh noes!' and nerfs it to oblivion, making the exploited exploit worse than the situation previous to the exploit itself.]

No. Its something like this
If BOB (Are The Only Ones Exploiting) Then Exploit = False. If NonBOB (Know The Exploit) Then Exploit = True.
Amirite?
