Hi, if I run missions for Gallente Faction, my standing with Caldari drops; what will happen if I rise my standing to 5 or above on Gallente, will my Caldari go low to -5? Can still enter Caldari Space?

I believe from running missions faction standing will stop dropping at -5. But if you continue to rat against those factions it will drop further. At least that is how I understand the situation.

So long as you don't take missions that have you destroying navy ships (caldari or amarr), running missions will not have a major effect on your standings with those factions. Other than that, afaik only storyline missions will negatively affect those standings (since storylines are the only ones that positively affect your standings with the agent's faction).
With storyline missions, the standing penalty you get to opposing factions is less than the bonus you get for the agent's faction, so your caldari standing will not reach (anywhere near) -5 in the process of getting +5 with gallente, so long as you don't kill a bunch of navy ships.
In any case you can just see for yourself by 'show transactions' for whatever faction you're interested in, through the character sheet/standings tab. -- ŽMe, Žnow. Quote me and you're sued! |

This is most likely because of social skills. if he has no social skills his standing gain will equal his standing loss for the opposing faction. Also take in mind that a standing of -2.00 will disable all agents working for corporations belonging to that faction so you might want to avoid this by also doing missions for your opposing factions....or you don't care and lose those agents.

No, it will not.
The standings to the other factions are modified using the standing between it and the faction that is changing its standing to the player.
For example: A standing change of +0.326% to the Gallente results in a derived standing change of -0.1463% to the Caldary. And a +0.2566% to the Minmatar.

If the worst comes to the worst and your Caldari standing ends up at something like minus eight, training Diplomacy to level 5 will still ameliorate it sufficiently to let you wander into Caldari space should you feel the need. ________________________________________________
