Report any suspected macroers, it is not your job to be judge, jury and executioner.

There can't really be a plex in High Sec that's worth farming 1/7, let alone 23/7.

not your job to enforce the EULA...
is CCP's job XD
but yeah, petition and petition..
REMEMBER... GM check very throughly to make sure...
is a good thing.... trust me.. you have no idea how many times I have a GM check on me while I was mining, but had to go afk to go to the bathroom... (I need more fiber okay?)
some people will petition anyone and anything...
and yeah, the GMs have to write report to the senor GM... and so on...
lots of paper work....

Edited by: Scott Woods on 21/09/2008 09:20:09 Just ram them.
I mean it, just go full speed at them with the biggest ship you have.
If you nudge the ship out of alignment or otherwise get in the way of the alleged macro, I'm sure the macro would make them do crazy stuff while the ship is unattended..
Maybe you should test? And report them, of course.

I did this with a macro miner once... just kept ramming and ramming until their ship was out of range of any asteroids. It just sat there for about five minutes before the script kicked back in and it moved back into range.

Wouldn't putting "something" in the macroers "can" make it your "can" and when the macroer puts "something" in your "can" you can shoot him for being "naughty"

We need more information!
Sometimes you can remote repair the rats they are working on.
Also try dropping cans and naming them like the loot cans --they might take one and get agro from you.
In general you just need to be faster than them--by that I mean logging on first.
EDIT: Ok I see you mean hi sec as you mentioned ud be concorded...
Then what you need to do is make an alt, train it for can popping and suicide.
When the overseers structure pops by them, you suicide the can.

Probably because they weren't macroers. CCP can determine if someone is a macroer or not. What you ran into is probably people AFK or ignoring you.

Yeah, the biggest ded plexs left in empire are 2/10 and never ever drop anything of value anymore though the bounties can be ok for a new player. Cosmos plexs are mostly in empire and can go up to 5/10 but they have crap loot, salvage and bounties with supercharged rats to pwn the unsuspecting. Plus they take some level of hacking and archeology to get the good stuff from the agents so I doubt very much the 'farmer' in the op is there and if he is well cosmos plexs are designed to be farmed for the unique parts and odd items to use the cosmos bpos. So what exactly is this guy farming that can't be had from running level 2 agent missions if its not a cosmos plex? |

With the New way CCP did it's In game Color Scheming 90% of macro's have died off and the rest need to be watched as they run because they are not reliable, chances are it's not a Macro but a very dedicated person who trades his characters time with his friends.

If they don't get banned after a petition, see it as a confirmation by CCP that they are not macroers.
So it should be safe to grab a hauler and steal their ore, let them (macro?) mine for you, without getting yourself banned. Amirite?

Stealing from an actual macro farmer op for a few days is usually good enough to invoke their master's wrath . Their sole purpose in existence is to make virtual monies. If you "liberate" enough virtual monies from their cans in ore/ice form, they will eventually lose enough to matter
