Amarylyn's Grand Pyramid Trillion ISK Lottery
Hello Gamblers, are you ready to play the ultimate small risk - mega reward Lottery? Tired of all those pesky little billion isk lotteries? Then you have come to the right place!
In "Amarylyn's Grand Pyramid Trillion ISK Lottery" players can win a trillion isk with a small investment of 10,000,000 isk.
"Amarylyn's Grand Pyramid Trillion ISK Lottery" takes the positive and legal aspects of illegal pyramids schemes and the low-risk high reward-aspects of common lotteries and combines them into one ultimate ISK extravaganza!
If you know anything about pyramid schemes then you know that they are only designed to make the people at the top rich, if you get in at the bottom you can't ever make any money. That isn't the case with "Amarylyn's Grand Pyramid Trillion ISK Lottery", because ONLY the people at the bottom of the Grand Pyramid are illegible to win the Grand Prize!
Not only that but everyone that is higher up in the Pyramid wins something just for playing.
This is how it works. If you receive a large number of shares in "Amarylyn's Grand Pyramid Trillion ISK Lottery", keep half of those shares and give the other half away to 10 other characters in equal amounts. The reason you give them to 10 more players is to increase the chances of getting the most participation and least amount of hording.
Once you have done that send 10,000,000 isk to the corporation as your entry fee.
If you only receive 10 or fewer shares then give away all but 1 of those shares away and pay your 10,000,000 fee to the corporation.
Important: Do not send isk to the person that gave you the shares! Send your isk directly to the corporation by right-clicking on share and selecting corporation > give money.
Characters that have paid the fee and own only 1 share qualify for the Grand Prize.
This is how the pyramid builds. The corporation starts with 10,000,000 shares. Half of those are retained by the corporation the remaining half are divided into 10 amounts of 500,000 shares and initially distributed to the "Big Winners" of my other betting game "No-Limit" on channel No-Limit.
Each of those players in turn will retain 250,000 shares and distribute the remaining 250,000 shares equally to 10 people, those who receive 25,000 shares will retain 12,500 and distribute the remainder to 10 people, those who receive 1,250 shares will retain 625 and distribute the remainder to 10 people. Those that receive 62 shares will retain 31 and distribute the remaining to 10 people. Those that receive 3 shares will keep 1 and distribute the other 2. Each time a player retains shares they should pay the participation fee of 10,000,000 isk.
The maximum number of characters that can receive shares in this fashion is 100,000. In the very unlikely event that everyone pays the entry fee of 10,000,000 isk the total pot for the lottery would be 1,000,000,000,000 isk. A trillion isk!
Now this is the best part. The entire pot is sent as dividends to the share holders! Which if you remember means that all the people in the chain get something and the corporation itself retains half of the winnings.
After the pot has been paid out to the shareholders the remaining half that is owned by the corporation is then split in half. Half will be rolled over for the next lottery the remaining 25% is paid to the winner of the lottery. In an ideal world 250,000,000 would be paid to the winner of the lottery - 250,000,000 from a bet of 10,000,000 isk!

Edited by: Amarylyn on 22/09/2008 22:14:36 This is how the winner will be determined. When the time for the drawing has come I will broadcast the drawing live though my web cam. I will count the number of days in the contest (max 31 days) and using the random number generators at http://www.random.org live on my web cam generate a random number between 1 and the total number of days in the lottery.
That number will represent the date that we will use to select the winner. Then I will narrow my journal to the player donations of that day (so if 10 was the number I would go to the date representing the 10th day of the lottery). Then I will count the number of Player Donations sent in on that date. Once I know the total number of donations that came in on that day I will use the random number generator at http://www.random.org again to generate a number between 1 and the total donation number for that day. Then starting from the most recent donation will count down to that number.
The qualified player (paid the entry fee and only owns 1 share) that is closest to the selected donation is the Grand Prize winner! If two qualified players are equidistant from that donation then the Grand Prize will be divided between them. The next 10 qualified players nearest the selected donation become the first 10 players to receive shares (500,000) in the next lottery!
The drawing will not only be broadcast live but will be recorded for posterity and available for replay on YouTube.com.
After a number of iterations of this lottery the 25% rolled over will push the total pot over the trillion isk range. Imagine a trillion isk to a single player for a bet of 10,000,000 isk!
So look for these shares in game or post below if you want to be sent these shares. Someone will check this board and send you some shares for sure!
