Since CCP has decided to remove mittani from the CSM.
That is almost 10 thousand votes that are now worthless.
I think that the only sensable thing to do at this time is to allow all of the people who voted for mittens, as well as anyone who did not vote for any csm canidate, another vote for the replacement on the csm.
This would mean a new election.
What do you think?
I'm not going to discuss if it was right or wrong what ccp did in contrast to other CSM mistakes such as allowing RMT off with only an in game ban... |

Correct. The majority didn't vote.
Such is the extent to which the CSM is taken seriously by the playerbase as a whole, and as of late, rightly so in my view. |

When Nixon was(n't) impeached, his vice president was put in his place. The person he chose as vice president (although not the person that ran on the ticket with him). So you're suggesting is that The Mittani should get to choose who replaces him? |

He did that himself. Look at this guy, falling for marketing weasel words. The only thing The Mittani resigned was the chair. He was forced out of the CSM.

I believe he only stepped down from Chairman not from the entirety of the CSM. |

They aren't even the majority of those that voted.

The majority of Eve did not bother to vote at all. The CSM machine lost any relevance it had once players who have the stated purpose of ruining the game became viable members. As with actual politics, you could hardly do worse than those who actually get elected. In fact, if you want a cross section of player based input from all facets of the game you could do a lot better with a simple database algorithm to randomly select the requisite number of members from the active ingame population based upon the percentage break down of total population activities for the last year, with automatic dismissal for accounts with bans in thier history.
Regardless, the majority doesn't vote in the CSM just like in real life because the majority of us are disenfranchised with the entire process and basically see it all as bullship. So in a way, the majority voted that the CSM as it currently exists is worthless to them and as such should be revamped. |
