Awesome. Finally, we're getting some recognition! Our little MMO is growing up.
I really hope EVE continues to grow for another 5 years. __________________ EVE-Online. Love it? Hate it? Just play it! Or go back to Runescape. |

whilst the article is fine and all, I had to balk at certain points of the write up, most notably the part talkin about tournaments.
I'm sorry, but what? -

Nice write up. Hopefully will get a few more punters onboard.
A pity he reckoned that those who don't log in often can lose time skill training though. It only takes a bit of organisation and planning to avoid that. -- (Sarcastic mission running veteran, 4+ years)

Quote: Later this year, players will get their first look at leaving their ships and walking in space stations.
First incorrect part of the article.
Quote: EVE players can also participate in tournaments. These are normally smaller scale battles with restrictions on ship types to give players an even ground in battle
The alliance tournament has been idle for a long time.
Quote: A great way to earn isk even while offline are through research agents. Players learn a certain skill set and get a high faction with an NPC corporation from doing missions. Then they can hire a research agent. These NPCs generate research points which can be used to buy special items called datacores. Datacores sell very well on the market because they are needed to make the high-level items, referred to as ôtech two itemsö. This is a great way for the casual player to make some money. With both real time skill training and selling datacores, the casual player can log in and just play the game with out spending a lot of down time doing tasks they donÆt like.
If this article is 1-2 years old, this might be true.
I found the article to be really poor. The only thing that really proves to me that this person has any clue, is the mention of the GTC prices. Do anybody actually KNOW anybody who makes a living off

huhhh... allaince tournment? happens once a year?
yes, the alliance tournament. Not to be confused with the plural form of "tournament" which is tournaments.
So I say again. What? -

I read it as if people got to look outside their spaceship, i.e ambulation will launch this year.

Oh god. The writing style is horrible. He only has short sentences. There is no flow at all in the article. Topics change between the five word sentences. It looks like notes someone would use to write a proper article.

This is the first time I have ever seen EVE players flame an article that was actually POSITIVE towards the game.
Are you guys just running out of stuff to complain about?
If I had an Alt I would probably post with it... |

Now that's a pretty epic flame, or what the old school among us call a critique. I commend you, sir, for your wit.
