I dont think people really have fully realized the impact goons locking down jita will have, and whose to say jita will be the only place effected. Large and highly established alliances such as goonswarm have absolutely no need for hi sec right now, which makes them a very big threat to all of you who actually do. Everything they need can be aquired with no isk for them, so yeh... if they truly unleash a full on lockdown and destruction of jita it will be felt across all reaches of hi sec space, and even benifit themselves in the process to reap the rewards of a weakened economy.

This isn't true in the least. There are a large variety of products and services offered in high sec that would be prohibitively expensive or time consuming to acquire or build in 0.0 space. T2 ships and modules, ice products, bulk minerals. Most major alliances have highly efficient importation systems to take advantage of the market density found in hub like Jita.

Its just that we care about the pubbie filths' suffering more than we care about the inconvenience it will cause us.

Goons staying in game revolve around them being vindicated by CCP for providing good content. If We don't help CCP make them look like heroes, they might leave. They are not heroes. I hope CCP lets them jump into Jita and then de-reinforce the node. Save Us CCP from the Goonies.

Actually, as revealed at Fanfest, Goonswarm/CFC space is among the least used space for industrial mining/manufacturing, even compared to far less populated areas. The idea of the most densely populated areas in 0.0 having the least active industry isn't that surprising - considering the limitations of nullsec industry and the advanced logistical organization of the CFC to simply buy all finished goods as needed from highsec in exchange for passively-acquired technetium income. In short, nullsec industry is so inferior and neglected that 'material independence from highsec' is a sign of inefficiency rather then the other way around.

I'm genuinely curious to see how they go about this jita torching, because if any alliance did have the capacity to fully cut themselves off from highsec, it'd be them. Or drone space.
