I am looking for a Pirate/Merc/WarHero for a little one on one PVP and Strategy training in Metropolis or connecting regions.
I need some training for things like "safe" gate running, "secure" transporting in low sec, dealing aggressive with can flippers, protecting a small mining operation in high and low sec., 1 on 1 pvp strat's , pirating strat's and countermeasures. I am not interested in the things that you can find in any guide on the intranet. I can read and do so. I am interested in the Tips and Tricks that i cant find there.
I would guess in a couple of hours i should be able to figure out the things I want/need to know right now.
If anyone is interested in this kind of work please let me know. I do have a vent server and can offer anything else that would be needed for a training session.
I am having a price for this in mind but would like to hear offers for lets say a 2 hour session.

Safe gate running: Loads of intertia stabs, speedy frig, problem solved.
Safe lowsec transporting: have a scout and hope you dont get sandwiched :)

If you want to learn anything that you can not find on the forums your only real chance is to find a pvp/pirate/merc corporation and learn the stuff right on the battlefield.
Every situation is different and the only way to learn from the really experienced ppl is by flying with them A LOT. In 2 hours you will learn nothing, and i doubt any really experienced combat Pilot is interested in visiting you again and again for the next year or even a much longer span of time. If you are not primary a PvPer it will take ages for you to become a really good PvPer.
But hey.. if the price is right i might spend a few hours with you. But I do not share my knowledge and fittings for a low price. If you wanna learn from me its gonna cost you a shitload of money.
And yes this obviously is an alt. Forum posting policy of our corp is very strict :).

I thought that was clear by a.) me asking for someone in the same or a close region. b.) 1 on 1 pvp strat's I mean to train with this person. Shoot at each other to the hull and then stop ... talk about it ... go again ... I have done similar in other mmo's and it was always beneficial. I don't think EvE is any different that way.
As to setups. I don't need any setups. It's not rocket science to figure out what works, what sucks and what is perfect for oneself. The whole thing with people believing that they have somehow discovered the holy grail of ship fittings tells me already allot about them already.
As of people taking my money and giving me nothing in exchange ... well lets say i didn't fall out of the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down so i feel i can trust my judgement of who i would go with and who not. And even if someone gets the better of me ... what do i lose a little isk a ship a few implants .. no biggy

It is very different. There are only a few ways to learn some EvE PvP basics, and all of them except one require you to loose several dozens of fitted ships (including several pods).
Therefore the very first thing you have to learn is the mindset. And as long as you even think that "shoot to the hull and then stop" makes any sense you are way off.
As someone already told you: the best service anyone can do to you is to promise you what you ask and then just go ahead and pod you. Several times.

There's no holy grail of ship fittings. However there's a lot to know about setups. Not only your own setups, but also what possible setups other ships may have.
Fit a T1 frigate and go to lowsec/nullsec. You'll loose it (and probably your pod too). Rinse and repeat until you can managed to kill your opponent at least 3 times out of 5.
Also get killed repeatedly until you can comfortably escape and avoid being podded.

There's some hope in the very last of your sentences. But the first part is nonsense.
If you want some theoretical and practical lessons, you can also attend one of the PvP University classes. But those are the beginning, not the end of your training.

Now we are talking ... Where do i find these guys?
By the way i have never said i wanted to become the master of PVP nor have i implied that i am not aware of the learning curve of PVP in any game. What i wanted is someone to point me in the right direction and not just with a couple of sentences in a forum post, but in practice and theory in a 1 on 1 or at least in a small class kind of environment. It seems you "the last poster" knows the place or the people.
I would really appreciate a contact person.

Eve University (alliance) provide training and practice for pilots that want to learn the ropes, and they dont stop there. E-U has lots of training for pretty much everything in Eve. If you joined them you could take part in classes for pvp and also they provide their own forums with lot's of help there aswell. I would reccomend looking into joining them for alittle to get the basics covered, and then maybe go solo piracy for a while.
I spent most my PvP career in a 0.0 alliance. I became Fleet Commander for the alliance and had to learn a lot, not just for my own benefit but for others too. This was on another character btw, not this one. Eventually I left the alliance and moved to lo-sec to do some solo piracy. I must say that in the short time I was a pirate I learnt more about pvp than I did in months of combat in 0.0.
So in short, join Eve University, get the basics down and then go solo and kill some people. You will loose alot of fights, but each time you will learn something new, and when you win fights, the feeling is great.

The first few things you listed can be taught relatively quickly. When you start talking about 1v1 tactics, pirating strategies, countermeasures etc then it becomes too much information to share or teach in anything less than a couple of dozen sessions, and anyone worth hiring to be your mentor isn't going to be cheap. It would be faster and cost you less isk to just go out and solo in low sec, losing ships til you learn how to not lose them.
I'm currently based in Molden Heath which is adjacent to Metropolis. If you want a lesson on the first few items you listed, evemail me an offer for what you think my time is worth, and I'll consider it.

QFT. You learn nothing by blobbing. Most 0.0 is a bunch of internet spaceship tough guys afraid to engage anyone without a clear numbers advantage, typically that includes cap superiority as well. You learn nothing in those kinds of organizations. The Eve-University recommendation is good, but only if they are not at war. The only thing i've ever heard about Eve-U that wasn't praise is their ROE when at war. Enough people have said the same things that I believe i'ts probably true; When they get wardec'd they resort to blob warfare. This teaches you nothing, it simply stunts* your development as a player for as long as you remain a part of a group that blobs.
*re-tar-ds is filtered, guess the word filter doesn't make exceptions for grammatically appropriate usage of words. How to Fail at Eve

You really do not want to do your homework, do you? http://www.google.com/search?q=PvP+University+EvE The courses are organized by Agony Unleashed. Their web site is first on the google search.
No, they are not the same people that someone referred to (those are the EvE University). Not that EvE University is bad, but there's nothing like Agony's PvP University courses if you want some background on EvE PvP.
Now do your homework and study all the info that is public on their website, then patiently wait for the next PvP Basic course and hope you are fast enough in subscribing to it: they book out fully in just a few ours, when they are posted.
oh, and 1v1 is chimeric at best. If you are in a 1v1 fair fight, there are very hight chances that at least one of the contenders did something very wrong.

My corp likes training up newcomers to pvp if you're interested convo/mail me in game. An individual like yourself asked this question about a month ago (flying in a little rifter), after joining us and some good initiative on his own part he's killing pretty good for a 2-3 month old character. We're in Caldari low sec, (however my corp can meet your Minmatar needs).

Eve University is good for the very basics of combat. They have numerous guides on fighting, scanning, surviving low-sec, etc. However, as mentioned, when at war they do blob mightily (understandable, as their forces are composed of very new pilots). You cannot learn much in a blob.
I've never heard anything but praise for Agony Unleashed courses, but have never done them myself.
There are simply too many situations in PvP to ever accurately teach 'how to fight and survive'. The battlefield is far too fluid for such things. Pick a frigate class and purchase 10 of them along with fittings. Go to the worst PvP hell-hole you can find in Eve (Amamake, Rancer, etc.); if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.
Pick your fights, always keep moving while looking for a suitable target, and see how long you can make those ten ships last.
You will learn far more in a shorter span of time than from any paid lecture. And you'll have fun doing it.
