using acer aspire 5520 notebook.. something like month ago all was fine.. but last couple weeks game process is very laggy.. i mean graphics.. its not cos of internet connection.. game lags even if sitting at the station and moving camera left and right... lags in both Premium and Classic mode.. all windows drivers is last version.. tried stupid but reasonable thing, installed kinda sertified acer drivers - that actually YEAR old things. nothing changed. only Vista with old drivers show perfomance 4.3 instead of 5.1 like when with new drivers.. tried all variations of graphic settings in the eve menu.. turing in all variations on and off game effects, video mode and color settings.. nothing help..
anyone using such model of acer notebook with no such problems like mine? help................
ps: btw.. used acer eRecovery tool to bring Windows to factory default state.. ( tool expanded from hidden partition factory preinstalled and preconfigured Windows, kinda configured by their bla-bla-bla professionals... )

How's performance outside gaming, in Windows?
I've got an Aspire 5601 Laptop, and sometimes the harddisc controller reverts back to PIO instead of DMA. When that happens, you can't miss it - performance overall grinds to a halt, nearly.
Check the status in System Properties - Device Manager. Find the harddrive controller and see what transfer mode it's in.
