I agree with the general commentary of this discussion string. As a @ 10 month player I considered training frigate 5 and Assault ships. After spending some time with EFT, training for Iskur seemed like mostly a waste of time. Assault ships are nifty, but don't seem very effective. I would seem that some form of boost for Assault ships is warranted. Many ideas have been suggested and it seems like they are all reasonable and viable. I generally prefer the idea of making them partially/completely immune to webs. Giving them bonuses proximally congruent to their HAC counterparts would seem reasonable too.

Fafnir,
Thanks for continuing to post these potential changes/updates. I am certain there is considerable time & effort involved.
I am a new player (about 8 months), and look forward to using the final product. I know there is no certain timeline, but do you have a guestimate when the changes will be implemented?

Quote: where do you guys just get all these change notes from?
I haven't found anything that appears formally official. I believe the proposed changes are a flowing concept that includes player input while the developers tweak and discuss their changes.
I believe Fafnir Drake is a developer OR he has checked the sisi server sever for the changes and posted them herein. My hunch is that Fafnir is one of the developers.

Quote: Unless I'm missing something here, I believe that this is all just hopeful wishing and has a very very low chance of actually being implemented in the game. Everything posted in this thread so far is player contributed. If Fafnir was a Dev he would be flagged as such.
Oh my. . I did notice the missing "ccp" logo under his name, but his writing seemed to indicate that he was working on these changes. Hence, he was involved in the process.
Fafnir,
Have you been checking the sisi server for these changes, or is your conveyance simply wishful thinking?

Fafnir,
I appreciate your honesty and candor. I must also convey that your proposals seem mostly reasonable, but unlikely to be implemented by CCP. I believe these folks are currently too busy with the basics of the speed nurf to boost anything significantly. Surely there would be even greater public outcry.
I did some searching this morning. I was attempting to find the login scoop for the sisi server. Unfortunately, I couldnĘt find this information. Help?
Presumably the only real/planned changes for Assault Frigates are rooted in speed/agility. Does anyone have the current numbers for the planned changes with regard to these items. Yes, it would be nice to have some truly positive changes, but having the real information would be more helpful. ą. Will Assault Frigate training still be a waste of time?

Quote: Really, if CCP simply took what is on SISI, gave them their 4th "true" bonus (5% hybrid dmg on enyo, drone dmg and hp on ishkur, etc.) and fix some of the stupid midslot layouts (2 mids on a blaster ship 1 mid on the reti, you know) I would likely be perfectly happy. Some more PG and CPU would be great, but isn't quite as necessary. Personally, I don't get how CCP thinks they risk making AFs OP just by adding a 4th "true" bonus. [:roll]
Very well written - I agree. This seems reasonable and prudent.
The anti-web concept is okay too, but this may not be as necessary with webs getting nurfed.
... my very humble opinion,
